I just realised that the opening notes of Hey Jupiter, only my favorite song of the last 8 years!, sound like a phone ringing at the other end of the line. As she sings "No one's picking up the phone". I shall crawl back under my ignorance and go and read some more lyric booklets! That is really interesting. I didn't even know the date of her wedding. Huh. I think it must be difficult to plan the release of a CD around a certain date, but it could be intentional. "Hootchie Woman" struck my friends and I as a curious title, too. Could do a lot with that. I was intrigued by "Toast." Is it something to do with actual toast or more along the lines of the phrase "you are toast" that you say when you are going to kick someone's ass? Or both? or neither? Can't wait to hear this CD. Too bad it didn't come out in time for the holidays. Have a great holiday everyone! Happy Winter (or Summer to the down-underers), Tom M. It is pretty difficult, since album releases are done on Tuesdays in the US and Mondays in the rest of the world. If her anniversary had happened on a Wednesday this year, there's probably no way that she could have convinced Epic to release it on that date. My guess (and this is only a guess!) is that it's a happy coincidence. /nm ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V9 #133 *************************************
