One brown cd and one pink cd? What's with all the pink anyway? Looks like someone in the design department got lazy. As for the censoring, why did everyone get so worked up about that? All I could find was two in Professional Widow... - -Lisa ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 4 Jan 2004 17:40:42 GMT From: Cyndi S Crawford Subject: Re: Tales first impressions >As for the censoring, why did everyone get so worked up about that? All I could find was two in Professional Widow...< there's also one in Precious Things.. *shrug* I got worked up over it when I found out it wasn't Wal-Mart's doing, because Wal-Mart likes to do that and I expect that of them (which is more or less why I'm always hesitant to buy music from there). I've been thinking about doing this, and now that the holidays are over I'll have some free time... But I'm a procrastinator of epic proportions, so don't hold your breath waiting for my list. - -Melissa - --------------- Random thought on religion, by my dear husband: "You can't believe things from two millennia ago. Why get so worked up, hey, it's only a couple of Jews, right? Why get so worked up, hey, it's only a couple of blacks who didn't get the apartment, right? Why get so worked up, hey, it's only a couple of books by Norman Mailer, right? Why get so worked up, hey, they're only making me take my shoes off, right? Why get so worked up, hey, we can still see Elvis from the waist up, right? Why get so worked up, hey, maybe 2 + 2 DOES equal 5, right? This isn't aimed at you personally, please don't take it that way. Whether it's naivete, or people simply don't care about such things, or (unlike myself) they actually have a life, the problem with ignoring such little details is that they become big details if they go unchecked. In this case, first it's the printed lyrics. Then the sung lyrics. Then the thought behind the lyrics. If we turn a blind eye to censorship, the censors get real happy and start to bite off more and more until they are TOtALly in charge of what we should be "allowed" to see, read and hear. I'm sitting here watching "Bugsy". On cable yet. It's so wonderful when Micky Cohen is yelling "FREAK YOU!" at Bugsy. It really drives the point home. I guess if it was a Britney Spears CD I wouldn't care quite as much. I would still care, but not as much. But Tori isn't some "am-I-still-married-or-am-I-not" pinhead, she is a fierce spokeswoman for freedom of speech. Just some food for thought. L*ve, Johnny PS I totally agree about the brown CD! It's like a turd on a white rug. >From: "Lisa Zwick" >Reply-To: "Lisa Zwick" >To: >Subject: Tales first impressions >Date: Sat, 3 Jan 2004 19:20:30 -0500 > > >I haven't listened to anything yet, but I must say the artwork >is...well...yuck. >One brown cd and one pink cd?
