I for one do. I'm still trying to collect all of Tori's singles, but it's fun! And it was available to everyone. What about the Ears With Feet that don't have the Internet to learn of the bee side or even download them? I, for one, am waiting until the 18th, but wish, wish, wish sooo much that Epic would release the Scarlet Bee Sides and the Radio Singles. More satisfying that way. Anyway, that's my opinion. It's not just that online downloads are what the kids want. People aren't buying singles any more, and they haven't for quite awhile. This makes me wonder if the concept of a bee-side isn't dead, or nearly dead. And that is a sad sad idea. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Nov 2003 17:56:37 EST From: ToriVolta@aol.com Subject: The Mary video How are some of you watching the Mary video? Fill me in. Peace Out, Amanda ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Nov 2003 03:17:15 +0000 From: "Johnny Endicott" Subject: b-sides et al Hi Amanda and Everyone, I totally agree with you Amanda and bluemermaid, collecting the b-sides was half the fun of being a Tori collector! Remember when there were like ten different Cornflake Girl CD Singles? The digipacks, the special "disc one of two" things, the little cardboard sleeve ones from Australia or Germany or wherever, all with diffeent artwork, different songs, basically the reason I have like 100 different CDs from an artist that has 8 albums! The only thing I can think, and I'm sure I've posted this before, is that Tori is going to let the Atlantic thing run it's course, and of course profit from it, which she should, and let it be "THE" tori item for Christmas, and then after the new year, she'll hopefully start releasing a bunch of special CD singles with b-sides, or live cuts, or whatever. (*Fingers Tightly Crossed!*) Remember, she's basically going to disappear into domestic bliss for a couple of years, so what better little project to have as a hobby? I mean, I play guitar and am building a model railroad, some people have basket weaving, or pottery, or watercolors, or stamp collecting. Does mixing amazing live songs or b-sides and selling them to millions of people count as a hobby? I hope so! It's just my little humble opinion, but we may be in for a surprise or two in 2004! It's probably way too early to say this, but if you look in the candy or card aisle of my local drugstore, it's right on time, so... Happy Holidays to everyone! Be safe, and most important, be good to each other. Torihugs, Johnny ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V8 #256 *************************************
