Heh. Anyone else have this problem (or is it really a problem? LOL)? Peace Out, Amanda" My CDs never leave their jewel boxes unless I'm putting them into or taking them out of a CD player. Most of mine don't have a single scratch on them...not even a finger print! I've got close to 600 now, so there's no way I could ever afford to replace them by not being totally obssessive compulsive about their care!! LOL Tony What's more likely? That an all-powerful mysterious god created the universe and then decided not to give any proof of his existence? Or, that he simply doesn't exist at all? And that we created him so that we wouldn't have to feel so small and alone. -Eleanor Arroway, Contact ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 28 Oct 2003 01:21:48 EST From: JNe9027355@aol.com Subject: Re: precious-things-digest V8 #245 In a message dated 10/27/2003 10:20:59 PM Pacific Standard Time, owner-precious-things-digest@smoe.org writes: >i burn copies of my most frequently used CDs.. that way the CDR gets >foobarred. not the original.. but then again.. most of my music listening >these days is done on my computer, so i mostly use just mp3s. foobarred? I am completely unimpressed by the marketing of tori in both Scarlet's Walk & now this "card catelog" bit. It's just fancy dressing of information we already have. I would be more impressed if there was something more connected to the actual music instead of just some hype. Was there only one commercial single released with Scarlet's Walk? How pitiful. Scarlet's Walk was comparable to Pele in length and I would say more accessible to the mainstream and with pele, there was caught a lite sneeze, hey jupiter, professional widow, talula...and with Scarlet there was only one video for A sorta fairytale. it got decent air play & they should have followed up with taxi ride, or any other song they wanted to release. Now, I love her music and I don't need her to be a mainstream success, but get the girl some exposure so that more people can hear her music, be inspired by it, and the world will be somewhat of a better place! Not to mention getting a bit more critical acclaim, awards and all the greatness she deserves by this point in her career. She has inspired an entire generation of singer songwriters and they are all running off with their commercial success, grammys and what have you. Tori deserves to get hers!! sorry, rant over. fingerpuppets wrote: speaking of foobarred, is anyone else as unimpressed by this card catalog thing fanscape and toriamos.com have cooked up to push the tales collection? i realize it's early in the game and that good things may yet come to those who endure the inanity but i'm finding the combination of their childish promotions and inept web design to be too much to take. you'd think by now that they would have come to their senses and used the web and the internet a little more intelligently and professionally. *sigh* woj Exclusive Video Premiere - Britney Spears ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 28 Oct 2003 12:45:34 -0500 From: Kelley Subject: Re: the card catalog fingerpuppets wrote: > speaking of foobarred, is anyone else as unimpressed by this card > catalog thing > fanscape and toriamos.com have cooked up to push the tales collection? > i realize it's early in the game and that good things may yet come to > those who endure the inanity but i'm finding the combination of their > childish promotions and inept web design to be too much to take. you'd > think by now that they would have come to their senses and used the > web and the internet a little more intelligently and professionally. > > *sigh* > > woj hi woj [1] im hoping that part of that is the need to accommodate various platforms in web browsers using simplistic code, than a lack of nifties from the toritroupe. however, the link to Mary in those pages does not work when i go to it.
