Not often I'm accused of wisdom, and I'm answering a different question to
the one you asked here, cause a lot of lyrical cross-references spring to
mind:

(I know they could just be coincidences, but Tori has said in interviews
that she's very particular about which words to use, doing lots of research
in to mythology and literature, so I think that when she does this it's
deliberate)

Baker Baker: "Baking a cake, make me a day, make me whole again"
Northern Lad: "And I feel this cake just isn't done"

Sister Janet: "I can almost see sweet Marianne"
Marianne, obviously! :-)

On the b-side cover of Hendrix's "If 6 was 9" (94) she played piano through
a guitar distortion amp, then we got:
Northern Lad (again): " 'you go too far when pianos try to be guitars' "

I'm sure there's more but I can't remember them... I love it when she does
stuff like that, if you aren't aware of the cross-reference the lyrics are
still brilliant on their own, but by almost putting "(see previous album,
track 3, for more on this subject)", it adds another layer of depth for the
fans.
