I'm going to the Chicago show at the Auditorium Theatre in a few weeks and would like to get some shots. Also, is it rude to go the front to get a picture during the encores if I stay out of peoples' way? Thanks! Were you the guy at the beginning of the line in Eugene next to the woman in the blue dress. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Jul 2003 08:18:28 -0400 From: David Mobley Subject: Re: cameras sneak it in? Your pocket. Honestly. If you're a guy, just don't take it out of your pocket, and generally they won't search you. I never had my pockets searched. Girls get their purses looked into, but I hear if you bury it under girly things, and go to a male security guard, you probably won't get the girly things moved around. But I just kept things in my pockets. If you're talking a big camera, I'd suggest a jacket that doesn't look too funny and hope it fits. And yes, it's rude to rush to the front to get pictures and chances are good that you'll also get the camera taken away if anyone sees you using it during the show too. At the last show I went to, they took someone away right before the encores for having a camera, so if you do something like that and make it painfully obvious you have a camera... you probably won't have a camera anymore. And don't forget to turn your flash off! This is good for many many reasons: 1) It doesn't actually do you any good. Unless you're within ten feet of what you're photographing, the flash doesn't actually illuminate anything. You'll get a great bright shot of the hair of the guy in front of you, and nothing of Tori. 2) Using the flash is like putting a neon sign over your head saying 'hey, security guard! pay attention to me!' 3) It's rude to Tori. It's very distracting to have flashbulbs going off all the time. 4) It's rude to your fellow audience members, especially if you get caught and their show is disrupted because the security guard crawls over them to get to you. /nm ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 29 Jul 2003 14:51:16 -0400 From: broadway jack Subject: cleveland buy one get one free! - ----- Forwarded message from Ty Barrett ----- From: "Ty Barrett" To: Subject: cleveland buy one get one free!
