I just searched for her at Amazon and listened to a few samples of her songs. Yes, very nice indeed! I have a theory that anything that sounds that nice over a crappy RealPlayer sample is going to sound great over a regular stereo w/CD. Besides the piano/vocal similarity she shares with Tori, it was funny that Amazon paired Teng's CD (which is called "Waking Hour") with none other than Scarlet's Walk. She also has a song called "Eric's Song", which I thought was interesting, but it didn't have a sampling. Anyway, 4 people reviewed the album and they all give it 5 stars out of 5 stars. Guess what I'm buying? Thanks Tom!!! Tony What's more likely? That an all-powerful mysterious god created the universe and then decided not to give any proof of his existence? Or, that he simply doesn't exist at all? And that we created him so that we wouldn't have to feel so small and alone. -Eleanor Arroway, Contact ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Jan 2003 19:38:38 -0500 From: Mikewhy Subject: sneak peak at the presales Here is a sneak peak at the presales (at least most of them, there might be one or two more) that will be announced this evening by Toriamos.com/Fanscape. The password will be sent out this evening to everyone on the Tori Amos Mailing List . Charlotte, NC - presale begins Jan 22nd - 10am Greensboro, NC - presale begins Jan 22nd - 10am Toledo, OH - presale begins Jan 22nd - 10am Grand Rapids, MI - presale begins Jan 22 - 10am Louisville, KY - presale begins Jan 22 or 23 - 10am Erie, PA - presale begins Jan 22 - 10am Cincinnati, OH - presale begins Jan 23 - 10am Kansas City, MO - presale begins Jan 23 - 10am Presales are already listed at Ticketmaster.com for Louisville ,Grand Rapids , and Cincinnati . However, the start of the presale on Ticketmaster.com for Louisville, KY is listed as Wed, January 22 while I was given a presale start date of Thu, January 23 for Louisville. ( Thu, January 23 makes more sense because the general sale begins Sat, January 25th .) Just to be safe, I would check both dates for the Louisville presale! These were given to me by Toriamos.com. There is always a chance they will change things by the time they post it online. If that happens, I will email the corrections to you. - -- Mikewhy, From one of my beloved Macs - ---------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Whitehead mikewhy@iglou.com A Dent In The Tori Amos Net Universe => "my fear is greater than my faith" Tori Amos - Suede - ---------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Jan 2003 20:01:54 -0800 From: Violet Subject: [ToriTour US] password: week of January 20th This week's password is CLOUD. However, they do not match what I reported earlier, so here is the current situation. ToriAmos.com/ Fanscape sent out a link to the latest presales in an email to their mailing list tonight: http://www2.fanscape.com/toriamos/tour/ The presales and start times they have listed are: Charlotte, NC -Wed, Jan 22nd - 10am Greensboro, NC -Wed, Jan 22nd - 10am Grand Rapids, MI -Wed, Jan 22 - 10am Louisville, KY -Thu, Jan 23 - 10am Kansas City, MO -Thu, Jan 23 - 10am However, if you look at Ticketmaster.com , you will see that thay have an additional presale listed for Cincinnati, OH that is not listed at ToriAmos.com: Cincinnati, OH -Thu, Jan 23 - 10am You will also see that the starting time of the presale at Ticketmaster.com for Louisville, KY is Wed, Jan 22 at 10:00am while it is listed as Thu, Jan 23 at 10:00am at ToriAmos.com/Fanscape . In this case, I would tend to agree with ToriAmos.com and the January 23rd date since general sales appear to be on Sat, January 25. But still check for Louisville, KY tickets on Wednesday morning, January 22 to be safe! There were two more presales I announced earlier: Toledo, OH -Jan 22nd - 10am? Erie, PA -Jan 22 - 10am? I am no longer saying these dates will go on presale this week. (And I am very sorry for having posted that they would earlier.) However, just to be safe, I would check Ticketmaster.com and Tickets.com, as well as ToriAmos.com and thedent.com just to make sure that Toledo and Erie do not go on presale anyway on Wednesday or Thursday morning. But it now looks like they may not. - -- Mikewhy, From one of my beloved Macs - ---------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Whitehead mikewhy@iglou.com A Dent In The Tori Amos Net Universe => "my fear is greater than my faith" Tori Amos - Suede - ---------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 22 Jan 2003 03:33:23 +0000 From: "Jennifer Teapot" Subject: OT: I need some serious tech help! PLEASE! Someone was generous enough to host my website on her server, so yesterday I went about uploading all my site files from my computer to the server. I sort of just "select all" and uploaded them. There was about 110 files all up. I left the process for a bit and when I came back there was a message saying that it couldn't upload a file because the name had spaces in it. I didn't need the file so I just proceeded with the upload. I thought everything had gone fine, so when the upload finished I went to see what the sit looked like and nothing came up. I just figured the site wasn't active yet, sent a message to the hostess and that was it. Then today the hostess alerted me to the fact that some of the upload had failed because it was showing 0KB where there should be 3KB or whatever. So I went back and tried to upload it all again, one at a time and still nothing would come up. Whenever I refreshed the server it went back to showing 0KB. My only guess is that I've somehow corrupted the files when that message came up, but how do I get them back? Can someone tell me how I can uncorrupt them, or something? I've tried placing all the HTML under another page name and still that page name registers 0KB when I refresh the server. Any help in this matter would be so helpful. I'm almost at my wits end here. I would alert the hostess again, but she's really sick and I don't want to disturb her all the time when something goes wrong. Thanks in advance for any help. ************************************************ Now Playing: Please Visit: http://datura.notsweet.net "Help, Marge!
