I mean, she shoulda at the very least taken Mariah's spot in my opinion (I can't stand Mariah), but I say at least she made the top five--but then again, maybe I'm just too painfully optimistic, and maybe it's the fact that I'm a fan of MJ and Madonna as well. *shrug* :D what can I say? I have rather diverse tastes in music, thank goodness. Sincerely, Cyndi S. I have always heard that "Merman" was dedicated to Matthew. I read his story and kept it in mind, even though I didn't know that much.Today while flipping through my cable channels I came accross "The Matthew Shepard Story" (2002). I have never been so moved by a movie since a long time. I can say that from now on I will listen to "Merman" in a WHOLE different perspective, and I am glad Tori dedicated this song to him. I would recommend everyone to see this movie, is really good in my opinion. I just wanted to share that thought! :) See Ya :) Daniel ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Jan 2003 19:36:12 -0500 From: Mikewhy Subject: More new Tour dates! I just 2 new concert dates for Spring 2003 and a possible one at thedent.com: Brian Orloff tells us that if you search on Tori Amos at CC.com, you can find listings for two more shows for the second leg of Tori's North American On Scarlet's Walk tour which takes place this spring. Onsales dates are not listed yet. They are: March 11, 2003 - Toledo, OH - Stranahan Theatre March 19, 2003 - Erie, PA - Warner Theatre Tori may be performing in Portland, ME sometime this Spring at the Merrill Auditorium This information comes from The Audible Lunatic who says a friend of his heard this info on radio station 94.9 WHOM in Portland, Maine. They said she would there sometime in March 2003. I do not know if this is 100% reliable, but I will let you know more when I know more! You can see all the dates I have listed for the second leg of Tori's North American tour this Spring here: http://thedent.com/tourlist02.html#northamerican2 - -- Mikewhy, From one of my beloved Macs - ---------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Whitehead mikewhy@iglou.com A Dent In The Tori Amos Net Universe => "my fear is greater than my faith" Tori Amos - Suede - ---------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Jan 2003 22:44:48 -0500 From: "andrea" Subject: Re: Tori & Matthew Sheppard Which version did you see? I guess there was more than one. I saw the one that NBC did, I have it on tape actually...but someone I know saw one done by some other station I don't remember which one but he said it was really badly done. I never saw that one so I don't really know, I was just wondering since you said that you thought it was good. ~~ann 'my old flame was a jester and a joker and a dealer of men, they called him the Prince, a prince of black jacks and of women and of anything that slipped through his hands' ~ T.
