Featured on the tour will be long-time collaborators Jon Evans on bass and Matt Chamberlain on drums and percussion. The album, Scarlet's Walk, is a journey in itself, a sonic novel in which each song represents a specific stop on the way across America. The central figure on the album is Scarlet, a woman who criss crosses the country in search of answers, in search of herself. On Scarlet's Walk, Tori will bring the role of Scarlet to life. Supporting Amos throughout the tour will be singer-songwriter Howie Day, who's debut album, Australia, was re-released by Epic Records on June 10, 2002. Following are the tour dates: November 11/7 Tampa, FL Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center 11/9 Melbourne, FL Maxwell C. Angela asked: > Is this is the complete tour? Not supposed to be, no. I just posted about this kind of thing to a regional list, and I may as well post it here. They have plans to go back out again mid-January, and then begin touring internationally in March. (Oddly, her lighting guy recently told a friend of mine he knows nothing of this second U.S. leg, and he can't do it as he has to go back out with Eminem. Maybe they'll bring the dreaded Simon back out of his cave to do lighting for them.) I also want to note that I see some of the larger key cities in this just-released schedule have two or three off days after their show dates, and were they to decide to put on some second shows in these cities if sales proved brisk enough with the first shows then it would not be the first tour that they did that. As to the January/February leg expected to come, my own edumacated guess is they want to see how well the record does and to be prepared to book her into some larger venues as they go to areas of North America not covered by this initial leg, and they might well also then go back to some regions she's doing this fall. If Scarlet does nearly as well as everyone associated with it seems to think, they'll easily be needing to do that. (Although a few of these just-released dates are in venues in the 3,000-seat range or a little below, most are in more the 5,000- to 15,000-plus-seat range, so they're already booking larger places than she was playing last fall.) Anyway, my main point is that the entire plot has yet to be revealed, and she may be coming to a theater near you more times than we now know. And if anyone hears of upcoming radio interviews over the next ten days before she goes on a three-week promo tour overseas then please post here and let us know! Thanks.
