There's an old song called "She's Come Undone," from the 60s or 70s.. i found it under "The Guess Who" leeericks:) "She's come undone she didnt know what she was headed for and when I found what she was headed for it was too late, she's come undone she found a mountain that was far too high and when she found out she couldn't fly it was too late, it's too late she's gone too far she's lost the sun she's come undone, she wanted truth but all she got was lies, came the time to realize that it was too late, she's come undone, she didn't know what she was headed for and when I found what she was headed for mama it was too late, it's too late, she's gone too far, she's lost the sun, she's come undone too many mountains and not enough stairs to climb too many churches and not enough truth too many people and not enough eyes to see too many lives to lead and not enough time it's too late she's gone too far she's lost the sun she's come undone it's too late she's gone too far she's lost the sun she's come undone she didn't know what she was headed for and when I found what she was headed for it was too late she's come undone she found a mountain that was far too high and when she found out she couldn't fly mama it was too late it's too late she's gone too far she's lost the sun, she's come undone" ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Jul 2002 03:24:04 -0400 From: Cyndi S Crawford Subject: Suede on Jools Holland I just downloaded and watched Tori's performance of Suede on that Jools show.. or whatever it's called. (I'd bet anything this will be the first song on the album.) I was actually thinking this might be the second song on the album because once you're on the Ventura Freeway you're already out of the city. I would think that there would be an L.A. song, where it all begins (I know we have Glory of the 80's but that's something else). On the last night Tori played in L.A. during the SLTour she said "It's been magical to be here." I remember thinking, "What? L.A. magical?" But it seemed like she had some deep experience this time around. I would think that if the album deals with the subject of pornography then it would have to be connected with L.A. After all, this is the home of the porn industry. Food for thought! >- - Can someone who's read the book give us a synopsis of Wally Lamb's >"She's Come Undone?" How does its mention play into the meaning of >this song? I think someone else mentioned it but "to come undone" is an expression that's been around for awhile (I don't know the source). It just means that there's been a loss of control or hope or sanity. I don't see any connection with Wally Lamb's book, which by the way I found to be well written but extremely draining and annoying. I found the girl completely impossible to sympathize with except on an intellectual level. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 12 Jul 2002 13:12:24 -0700 From: I Love Sluts Subject: Re: Suede on Jools Holland Where can you download those shows??
