Thanks for the info, woj. I'm going to subscribe to the tomb lists so I know what's going on (and maybe find a way to pitch in). Oh and... Seattle! I like listen to it *atleast* twice everyday and always before I fall asleep... the lyrics to me have always been pretty straight forward and simple unlike most other songs on Pele... but lately Ive trying to reach in and pull something deeper out. I obviously see the metaphor as a farewell (letting go) of a failed romance... but does each line mean something more? Oddly, the two lines that seems to really touch me (and sometimes brings me to tears!) are: "..with every step with every beautiful heel pointed" "maybe I'll just sing him a last little sound" (<~~I always thought that was "song", not "sound" Any thoughts? ~~Maria Trading Website: http://www.auburn.edu/~aguirmg ******************************************************** "The unexamined life is not worth living." - -Socrates ******************************************************** ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 23 Apr 2002 14:01:58 -0400 From: Cyndi S Crawford Subject: Re: something to talk about Honestly, I think.. that's an interesting perspective (the stain being violence etc), whether it's accurate or not.. I like the later interpretations tho (the girl being into BDSM or whatever it's called, and REALLY not loving the guy, and so on) but.. maybe it's both? ya think? Sincerely, Cyndi S.
