Well I lurk mostly but will unlurk to post it. When I was 17 in my senior year of high school I had to move from Ohio to Florida. I signed up for dance class and made friends with Jessica. We had to do a dance and she suggested using music by Tori Amos. I said who is that? So she played crucify for me. I couldn't believe it that song I had in my head randomly for a year or two before then finally the artist had a name! I had heard it on the radio before but never knew "who it was by". I of course ate up her cd's ever since, by this time Under the Pink was the most current cd. I didn't like it as much, and still to this day other than a few songs it's not my favorite (maybe because I've heard she didn't have as much creative control over this album as others) then Pele came out, I was confused by it at first. It didn't seem like the Tori from before. I put the cd away and then got it out a month later and loved it. Almost like I had to mature some more. So every other cd since then was the same. I always heard "hey this show says it will have Tori Amos on it, you love her I know so I'll tape it" yes, you are that chick that likes Tori. Most people I know and knew always liked the song "cornflake girl" though. :) I caught a glimpse of her at a meet in greet but there were many people there by the time I knew about those (plugged tour) so since it was her birthday I wrote a sweet poem for her and threw it towards the gate, it landed on the ground which I figured it would and when I looked over it was gone. I think and hope she got it :) So that's my story about Tori. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2002 18:05:00 +0000 From: "Sarah Jenkins" Subject: Re: Tori Story >I always heard "hey this show says it will have Tori Amos on it, you love >her I know so I'll tape it" yes, you are that chick that likes >Tori. Ha! lol! That is what happens to me too. My grandma even does it. She stays up late (for her) to watch Letterman and Leno when she's on then calls me the next day to talk about it! She always thinks she's so pretty but she didn't like her make-up during Jackie's Strength on Letterman. :) ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V7 #67 ************************************
