Tori had brought a severe cold back from England with her and the show started with the scariest version of '97 Bonnie and Clyde that I have experienced. It sounded like Tori was almost crying. I did not always pay maximum attention during the song in expectation of the wonderful shows, but in Berlin I was totally drawn into Tori's performance. That night, it was one of the most memorable parts of the show for me. Either Tori was simply playing the character extremely intensely that day or she was really not feeling well at all and really fighting in order to get ready for the show. When I heard it, I thought that she might have been struggling so much that until the last minute she may have thought about actually cancelling that show. I was just hoping that she would come out allright and I have to say that her performance was very very brave that night. When she ended with Somewhere Over The Rainbow and hit the high notes at the very end perfectly, I was very impressed with how she had managed to deliver another brilliant performance given that she clearly did not feel well. If there will be a recording of the Berlin show, this particular performance of '97 Bonnie and Clyde will be worthwhile listening to. I do not think that she has done it like this on any other night. Everybody enjoy your lives, Eric (with a 'c') ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V6 #252 *************************************
