Major work and promotions, not a super turnout. the bands were great. some really special tori covers. Due to the turnout, i think, we only raised around $2,200. i 'know' in my brain that the party was a true success. especially for a town as small and specialized as abilene. but my heart is discontent. well, that's my problem. tasha ~~and i fear my fear is greater than my faith, but i walk the missionary way.~ tori amos ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 06 Sep 2001 23:43:38 -0700 From: Nadyne Mielke Subject: Little Blue World is seeking fan submissions Little Blue World, a quarterly fanzine dedicated to Tori Amos, is seeking photos of Tori, taken by "ears with feet," for publication in upcoming issues. Boston's benefit, Rock for RAINN, raised just about $5000 and had, I think, somewhere around 150 people attending. We had some great live music from local performers, including some Tori covers that from the lobby of the club made me wonder if Tori was actually in there playing the piano. The Roxyplex, which donated one of its clubs for the night, is already excited about doing this again next year in the main Roxy club, and the Rock for RAINN team is already working on getting some more well-known artists for next year's show. With more time on planning, we're hoping to raise a lot more next year! Abilene Texas, if you pulled off raising over $2000 in a small town, you should feel plenty proud of yourself!
