Cards? I understand that she took all these pictures, but what's up with the cards? and the prebought, or reserved copies of SLG.. like, with the pre-purchase of SLG, you get these little cards or something? we ain't got no big like stores like y'unns got 'or 'der in yer big cities n' such. lol. You guys are wacky, finding out about all this stuff, and I've never heard of it before. lol. I saw the photo shoot video.. is the song in the background something off SLG? that may be a premature question, as I'm just now DL-ing the whole album. So, i may find out for myself. I do not understand.. at least most times. I understand that she took all these pictures, but >what's up with the cards? and the prebought, or reserved copies of SLG.. >like, with the pre-purchase of SLG, you get these little cards or something? atlantic is running a promotion with independent music retailers where, in return for pre-purchasing _strange little girls_, you get a "download card" (general details about that can be found at http://www.downloadcard.com/) which allows you access to a separate section of the toriamos.com website where you can stream/download the entire album and see video clips from the photo shoots. (run-on sentence alert! whoop! whoop!) >we ain't got no big like stores like y'unns got 'or 'der in yer big cities n' >such. heh heh heh. well, i've heard that some chain stores are doing this promotion as well, so swing by your local music stores and see if any of 'em are. (or just swipe the pin number that myst so thoughtfully shared with us. ;) ;) ;) ) >You guys are wacky, finding out about all this stuff, and I've never heard of >it before. lol. this promotion hasn't been advertised much. i heard about it a few weeks ago from the guy who runs a local store called exile on main street (southern connecticut). he started pre-selling the album last friday but i didn't have time to stop by until yesterday (i got the "new age" card too, myst). atlantic seems to be leaving it up to the stores to promote the download card thing. woj ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2001 09:03:14 -0400 From: strange little woj Subject: Re: http://www.little-blue-world.org/ >> . Oops! I wasn't clear. :) You can purchase single issues of _Little Blue World_ at your friendly local Tower Records. If your local Tower doesn't have any, ask if they can order some for you. Tower charges US$5 per issue. > how did you work this out w/Tower? Lots of hard work. :) /nm ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2001 13:22:29 EDT From: Twinkle018@aol.com Subject: Tori Seattle Shows During the Dew Drop Inn tour... the first show sold out rather quickly but, they opened up a second and third show for the following day (one in late afternoon and one in the evening). The Plugged show sold out in the first half of the day, but, the venue was smaller... it was at the Moore theatre rather than the Paramount. I can't remember how fast the actual Choirgirl tour sold out or if it did... And... Venus and Back did not because it was at the Key Arena. I think if this first day sells out... it looks like, from the itinerary it looks like they left room for a second date. But, if you're like me, you probably want to attend all of the shows. You should be good to get tickets... especially w/ the pre-sales. No camping out at the ticket selling locations... thank God. I must say, I'm also I'm glad that the seats all seem to be assigned. I detested camping out to buy my tickets... then, again to get a "good seat" in the house. All a little much, in my opinion. It's much more enjoyable... and meet and greets seem more possible if you are not trying to hold your place in line for your seats. Anyhow... hope this helps... even if it's a little vague. There was also another of her in there titled, "Mary, Queen of Scots". Very beautiful. It talked about how Tori wanted to represent both parts of her heritage. Kevin Aucoin is an amazing artist and it's wonderful to see all that he has done for the Strange Little Girls' characters.
