Couldn't hurt right?!? (I personally don't mind a good begging session *IF* it gets me what I want :-) speaking of begging networks to rebroadcast a show, on jay leno's site they said if you wanted to see a past show, you could try requesting it and if the demand is enough, they might play it. so i was thinking why don't we all choose an old episode of when tori was on and request it. what do you all think? danny ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2001 06:19:16 -0700 (PDT) From: Erinita Subject: Television Appearances The recent mention of Tori on MTV back in '92 left me wondering on what other stations she has been featured. I've never heard of the '92 special until now and it would be interesting to read a comprehensive list of all her specials/performances or even interviews that were aired. I doubt we could possibly track all of her media interaction, but any televised appearance should have some significance. I know there are a lot of "listmakers" out there. Can anyone recommend a good source? Thanks raisngrl16 "Cornflake girls and Raisin girls represent two different ways of thinking: narrow-mindedness and openmindedness and how narrow-minded women betray the rest of us. That division is even there between women, which is something I've really had to come to terms with. It is often women who say I shouldn't express myself as I do and in that sense, women let each other down, not men." BUT, i saw Black Dove mention An Pierle and i had to jump in. i thought i was the only person in the entire US who'd heard of her! :) Her cd, Mud Stories is quite good. She a bit eccentric. If you can read German, look up some articles on her. She's compared to Tori - yeah, girl playing piano..blah blah. She also has some interesting views on things and plays her piano sitting in an unconventional way. heheh (on a giant ball...dont ask) A couple of stand out songs? Mud Stories, Are Friends Electric, Pleasant Times.... Yay! Someone else has heard of An...i'm almost giddy. :) -jackie _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2001 02:53:44 EDT From: Mysterilady2001@cs.com Subject: Re: Tori Trivia 4 ~ Hi ya EWF ~ Amendment 2: I'm changing the deadline to 72 hours. It does not. Many years ago the Marbury House Hotel was transformed. It is now the Latham Hotel Georgetown. Instead of a bar, they have a French restaurant. Mr. Smith's, however, is remarkably similar to the way it was even back in the early 1970s. I took a couple people there last summer and we heard the piano player for about an hour. It was kinda scary. I can't imagine how she could have done that for so long. I went there a couple or so weeks ago with a visiting out-of-town friend, and there was no piano player. Last summer, the piano player was there Monday through Thursday nights. A couple weeks back, their calendar only showed him listed a few days within the month. I'd check before going if you want to see it with a piano player. Prepare for schlock hits from the '70s and '80s. [shudder] They have a website but it's woefully out of date in terms of the calendar of events. BTW, it seems a bunch of folks think Mr. Smith's was a gay bar. It never was and is not now a gay bar. Mr. *Henry's* was a gay bar. Mr. Smith's is kind of a middle-class singles scene for low-level government workers. Hasn't changed much, either, from what I saw recently. Good nachos, though. :-) Be seeing you, Richard Handal, H.G. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Apr 2001 06:13:43 -0700 (PDT) From: Erinita Subject: Re: Tori Trivia 4 ~ ANSWER I'm thinking that they won't even consider airing it since the material is so dated and she's had several albums released since then. Although, I do wonder if fans can obtain a copy? Don't most channels sell their previously aired programs? Unfortunately, the prices are usually astronomical.
