It's labelled that way, but they're lying. It's a vinyl bootleg, from the same company that made the picture vinyl of TVaB. New copies of this vinyl are going on eBay for around US$25 these days. After you figure in shipping to Australia, AU$60 is a reasonable price to pay for it. For all the info you'll ever need about YKTR, including how to tell a real YKTR from a fake one, check out the YKTR FAQ at: http://www.geocities.com/tori-boot/yktrfaq.html HTH. :) Btw, you might be interested in subscribing to OzTori, the mailing list for those of us Toriphiles in the South Pacific. By all means--if something's inaccurate then it's inaccurate. > On November 23, 1998 Tori played in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and she did > not perform either "Baker, Baker" or "Winter." My apologies for reposting that. I consider Nadyne to be an entirely reliable source on such things and didn't check into it myself. We all make mistakes though, that's for sure. When I read the date there I thought it was referring to the Newark, Delaware show the next night, when indeed Winter *was* performed, and with Dr. Amos in attendance for the final time on the tour. I don't usually enjoy Winter, but that was a hell of a thing. I am the "dude" who plays "Take Me In" ;) I also run the Tori Amos: Beyond The Pale Piano Ballads station at MP3.COM. Which means in short, I have to hunt all over to find artists that are Tori inspired that fit within the format, and then I add them into the playlist. Yes I do have CD's for sale, and more piano songs on the way. You can email me for more info. - -Brandon www.mp3.com/brandoncarmodyband - ---- On Sat, 17 Mar 2001, Audrina Parker (silverdadaartist@yahoo.com) wrote: > hi are you the dude that plays take me in its really > nice do you have an album that i can buy in a store? > or do you just have that oen store excuse my informality :) > just though i'd tell ya i like ya song if this is the > right person > bye now ________________________________________________ Get your own "800" number Voicemail, fax, email, and a lot more http://www.ureach.com/reg/tag ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Mar 2001 00:43:54 -0300 (ART) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?daniel=20verrastro?= Subject: Tori Favourite books Hi, it4s Daniel. I read a long time ago (1998 top be precise) in Rolling Stone the Article TORI AMO4S SECRET GARDEN, wich in one part points out that one of Tori4s favourite writer is JOSEPH CAMPBELL and named he4s book THE HERO WITH A THOUSAND FACES in the article. I think that this book could have inspired tori to set up the basis for boys for Pele. Campbell (I have read the book because of the article and because it said that Tori Read it herself) says that a hero undergoes many stages, first he is not underestand in his home land, then he makes a journey to an unknown land, there he learns things that make him realize of his true innerself, and then he returns to his home land to share his knowledge. I think that this pretty much applies to what BFP talks about. songs 1-5 hero not underestand in homeland??????? songs 6-8 hero taking a journey to an unknown land????? songs 9-11 hero sufers in this unknown land.?????? songs 12-17 hero comes in contact with its true self.????? songs 17-18 hero shares his knolege?????. what do you think?, I have read this book and I am reading by now FIRGERPRINTS OF THE GODS by Graham Hancock. Does anyone knows if Tori has read this Book (FingerPrints of The Gods)? has anyone read those books?. and wich other books are Tori4s favourites??????. bye have fun , Daniel _________________________________________________________ ?Lo probaste? Whaddaya think? well, given her survivorship, there's prob an element of PTSD in there, in which chaos is the norm. when you go through a traumatic event, you kinda get stuck in that "frequency" where if the energy around you isnt jacked up all the time (comparable to that of the trauma), then you dont feel comfortable. some ppl will even recreate that atmosphere by sabbotaging happiness... i've always read the line in that context, given that the song is about having perspectives that arent thenorm, and arent necessarily healthy... be well! - -- ~*~*~*~ ~ kelley FINNatic #69 "when a man lies, he murders some part of the world" ~ merlin, excalibur _____________________ The Saferoom Project http://www.saferoom.org/ http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/saferoom http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/srppartners ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Mar 2001 18:52:15 -0500 From: "Janet & Jon Haverman" Subject: YKTR pic disc >>Hill, Renee" >>Subject: YKTR >>Hi all >>I'm a new member on the list, a recently converted toriphile, so first of >>all I'd like to say hi :) >>And, I have picked up a promo only, picture LP of YKTR, and was wondering >>what the going rate for this is? Colleen Collectabls sells it for $38.00, and I have seen it as low as $35. Here is a cut and paste of their last advertisement: CVC Collectables www.cvccollect.com 7 INCH PICTURE DISCS THE BEATLES - Ballad of John And Yoko/Old Brown Shoe (U.K.) $25 (BEATLES)PAUL MCCARTNEY - The World Tonight/Used To be Bad (U.K.) $8 DEEP PURPLE - Perfect Strangers/Son Of Alerik (U.K.) $15 STATUS QUO - Caroline (live)/Dirty Water (U.K.) $10 12 INCH PICTURE DISCS (TORI AMOS)Y KANT TORI READ - Same (U.K.) $38 Alot of the recent bootlegs are originating from Mexico, although not all. Last year the UK Record Collector magazine did an article regarding this revived practice, once popular in the mid 80's with bands like Iron Maiden, Marillion, and even U2. Although they are not legit, they recognize their collectablility, and recommend picking them up when available. Kate Bush picture discs have continued to be sought after, although it has been ages since she has released anything new to the market. And, if anyone is interested in obtaining a pretty decent size Tori collection, I can save on time, but not money. Email me directly at haves@worldnet.att.net to receive information. This collection is being sold as ONE LOT, meaning it won't be broken up. Only serious enquiries please. After all, we are talking a few thousound dollars. I will be soon be placing a Goldmine ad. jon ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V6 #51 ************************************
