Local food banks will receive thousands of dollars through proceeds from the album, which will be released Tuesday, November 14th to Wherehouse music stores throughout the Bay Area. Other artists donating rare live tracks include: Ben Harper, Counting Crows, Susan Tedeschi, Squeeze, The Indigo Girls, Joe Satriani, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Old 97's, John Popper, Wood, Tori Amos, Jeremy Toback and Phish. Melissa's contribution to the benefit album is a live version of "Enough Of Me" from her February 2000 performance at The Plant Studios in Sausalito, CA. MLE did a live TV broadcast of this performance on UPN Channel 44 in conjunction with KFOG called "Live from the Plant." ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 5 Nov 2000 06:38:17 EST From: Mysterilady2001@cs.com Subject: KROQ's Newest XMAS CD ~ "Little Drummer Boy" Hi ya EWF ~ I've been away ~ My bf came from the UK for a week, MysT's FaeriEs had a bumper crop Halloween month selling FaeriE Wings and with all the nonstop stress I needed a long rest. Anyway, glad ta be back :-) News! News! News! I don't know if The Dent has reported on this so if it has forgive my useless post. I'd check it out, but I'm hella tired. I live out of Tori loving radio station KROQ's signal limits so I rarely get to hear them - (I'm stuck with the IE's X103, who so freaken rarely play Tori I could scream.) Anyway... while visiting a friend I did hear the announcement that Kevin & Bean, the KROQ DJ's that have the big Christmas shindig every year - usually with Tori, are putting out a 10th Anniversary Double Christmas CD of the past performances titled 'Little Drummer Boy". Now I looked at their website tonight and there ain't nuthin' there about it but it would be myyyyy guess that if the double CD set is called "Little Drummer Boy" that Tori is going to be on it. No confirmation yet. I'll confirm as soon as I know, or someone else feel free to post if they know. Since they love, love, love Tori at KROQ I can't see how they would do it without her. Other guesses for definite acts are locals No Doubt & Save Ferris. We'll See! CD comes out in a week.
