I found where she has been hiding. She came out once, I followed her back there and I forced her to come home. It's so much warmer now. [I hear she still grants forgiveness, although I willingly forgot her. The offering is molasses. JNE, Have you ever thanked *anyone* on here who answered your questions or even said "please" in your posts? Of course its not required, but common courtsey goes along way. . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ the appreciation, if not mentioned, is always implied and glaring in all my posts...i like to keep it as brief as possible. i know that a simple thank u can better someone's day, so if i "forget" to actually type it out...dont take it to heart. IT'S THERE, in the subtext. - -AJ ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Sep 2000 05:58:22 EDT From: Mysterilady2001@cs.com Subject: Oh No, MysT has been thinkin' again! Hi ya EWF ~ I was thinking, thinking, thinking and thinking some more. What about MysT, you may ask. Well, I'm so glad you asked! I was thinking about what Tori song reminded me of her new journey into Motherhood. After careful consideration of all things Tori, I came to the conclusion the overwhelming winner is "Finn" by a landslide. Finn has such wonderment to it, such surprise and grace. Plus there's all that ethereal nature and hope weaving a magickal spell throughout. Absolutely lovely, endearing & calming. All things I hope Motherhood will be for Tori ~ Toodles ~ MysT *** Finn can be found on the "Great Expectations" Soundtrack. I, too, am the survivor of several horrible sexual assaults. At the age of 5, I caught a venereal disease from my stepfather. Then I was raped once as a senior in high school by a college student (date rape), and was raped again as a freshman in college at a frat party by someone I didn't even know after I was forced to drink an entire bottle of champagne (it being part of the little sister hazing/initiation). But what you brought up about Afghanistan touches me even more. At least in this country, we can prosecute. The way you compared the inequality of women in that country to racial injustice (like Apartheid) was stirring. That is a very accurate way to look at the persecution of women. It's incredible. We make up over half the population on this planet, yet we seem so powerless. Sometimes I am overwhelmed with the injustice of it all, and when you start speaking up for women's rights across the world, your guy friends will tell you (or your parents will tell you), "It's their culture. You have no right to judge another's culture and religion (because the Taliban is a religion)." Or you're labeled a femi-nazi by a right-winger. Sickening. - -jen ===== "Most social problems diminish in proportion to open and honest communication between conflicting segments of society." -Anand Malik, philosopher "Do I contradict myself? Very well, then, I contradict myself. I am large, I contain multitudes." -Walt Whitman __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
