Actually, Tori did not win, but her special was nominated. You can read all about it on the Dent here: http://thedent.com/music5.html#yahoointernetlife This was the Yahoo! Internet Life Online Music Awards and the category was Best Live Music Event. The winner was "Paul McCartney At The Cavern Club." It's just an MP3 >version of the mix from the Ministry of Sound radio site thing. hard to say whether the webcast clip is the "original" or not, though it doesn't appear to be all of the track. also, it's not clear that the second track on the 12" is another mix (whether the original or not) of the same song. from the description eric wilcox gave of the other track on the dent (see ) it almost sounds like the two tracks are completely different songs. >I wish someone would rip a copy off the original promo vinyl. *sigh* agreed. woj ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Aug 2000 22:39:35 -0500 From: "mr zebra" Subject: Re: Tori Amos vs. Andy Gray > I just assumed that it was the original version of the song being broadcast > by the Ministry of Sound.....are you sure it's a mix? Yes. The Ministry of Sound radio program was a constant mix of those house tracks. When that happens, the DJ mixes them all together, and usually elements of previous or later tracks slip into the current track to make it seem more continuous - an overlap effect of sorts. So it's not the complete independent original version, no. But if you listen carefully you can notice the elements in the beginning of the MP3 version and the ones toward the end and if they're not in the very middle couple of minutes, then they're probably not part of the current track. So if you just listen to the middle few minutes, that's probably pretty close to the real, unmixed version of the song. But like I said, I'm just waiting for a track ripped directly off the album. matthew. the radio is playing all the usuals. and what's a wonderwall anyway? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Aug 2000 15:53:06 EDT From: "Armani Boy" Subject: tori-boot list hey there can anyone forward me the address to subscribe to the tori-boot trading list? thanks! armaniboy ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 9 Aug 2000 17:59:57 EDT From: JNe9027355@aol.com Subject: Re: stuff In a message dated 8/8/2000 10:37:37 PM Pacific Daylight Time, owner-precious-things-digest@smoe.org writes: << I don't know if anyone posted this already, but Tori won an award from Yahoo! for her mtv.com performance - they had a little photo in the magazine of her on stage looking adorable as always. >> what and when was this performance? also--can someone privately email me Past-mission live mp3? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 09 Aug 2000 08:31:59 -0400 From: gillian riley Subject: Re: Lets do it again where can i download the mp3 of this song?
