(Dont worry, I'm not going off or anything). Back in the day, when the Bible was being written, women were not equal to men, and I know a lot of people on this list hate hearing that, and not to be mean or anything but this was like so long ago and it is not the same today, so just get over it. Anyway, back to what I was saying. In my church and in my friends churches, women are just as eqaual as men, I even have a friend whose mother is a Pastor, so for the most part women are not seen as below men as they were back then, but then there are still some people/churches that feel that way, and thats their deal. I have not come into contact with hardly anyone that feels that women should be beneath women (because of their beliefs, now I have come into some that are just on a ego trip and feel that way), so for the most part I would say that women being beneath men is no longer an issue, although being a male, I could be not seeing things that some women see, and if I'm not seeing I'm sorry. Anyway, just had to throw my 2 cents in and defend myself and religion :) Terry. >From: "miss world" >Reply-To: "miss world" >To: precious-things@smoe.org >Subject: god give thy strength >Date: Wed, 14 Jun 2000 12:55:58 PDT > > >>>The part of "God" that you're thinking of is "Give not >>>thou strength unto women, nor thou ways which >>>destroyeth kings". > >"don't give your strength to women, nor tell them how to destroy powerful >men" is what is sounds like (in ENGLISH, that is!) to me. > >i find it excrusiatingly intersesting how many people are christians, do >they actually believe shit like this?? > >(not flaming christians.. okay. maybe i am. sorry in advance! dont make a >big deal out of it, jsut call me ignorant and get on with your lives!) > > >-courtney > >| sky puddles | >| http://fadeddreams.net/garnet | >| im the water, im the dishes, im the soap | >|i will comfort make you clean help you cope| >| -Sleater Kinney | > >________________________________________________________________________ >Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Jun 2000 14:30:56 EDT From: Lisa071573@aol.com Subject: willy porter << So I checked out the All Music Guide and it said he was a guitarist for Tori Amos's For the Choirgirl Hotel (which explains why the name rang a bell). >> He also opened up for Tori for some of the dates during the DDI tour.. the one I remember best was Durham, NH where he made up an entire song on the spot using words suggested by the audience.. it was pretty impressive :) Lisa ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 17 Jun 2000 19:33:46 EDT From: YelloStarGlasses@aol.com Subject: Mean Fiddler pub Hey guys, i need some help.
