If you record something off of the radio you are breaking the law. Weird but true. The police cannot charge you with anything, it is up to the company. You are right though, the companies rarely ever go after individuals, but it's not worth risking. I would say that if you want to make a boxed set, only send it to one person and then it would be the next person's responsilbility to get it from the first person. That way each person if responsible for only one copy being made.
