A couple weeks ago, we were informed that Tori was going to have a new song, called Carnival, on the Mission: Impossible 2 soundtrack. It's going to be released officially May 9, but as usual, I GOT THE HOOKUP. LOL. It's an AMAZING song. Has nothing at all to do with the movie, as far as I know, but it's GREAT. Anthony, don't worry, you're gonna love it. It's very Hotel-ish. It starts out kinda seductively slow, but 3/4 of the way through breaks out into a high-speek Hotel romp. It's FABULOUS. You can probably find it on N@pster by now. I got my copy from a search on Oth.net. matthew. whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there with open arms and open eyes. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Apr 2000 14:41:44 -0400 From: Nadyne Mielke Subject: Re: Collectibles and such At 07:58 PM 4/26/2000 -0400, Lynne Toussaint wrote: > >LE was rereleased on vinyl, as far as I know... my town's record store can >get them pretty easily, and I've got one on hold right now for me. The US "Winter" single is rare only in the same sense that cockroaches are rare. None of the US vinyls are hard to find. The pink vinyl is getting harder to find, but it's still not impossible -- it's not worth more than $15. You can get the BfP and ftch vinyls for around $10 each. Tower, for example, stocks them for $8.99. /nad ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Apr 2000 17:58:05 PDT From: "*ShaDy FeLiNE*" Subject: Kathie Lee Gifford..? I don't know if anyone else was watching Entertainment Tonight ce soir (Thursday, for those of you who read your e-mails all late and stuff *giggle*,)My Mum was watching it and I just happened to glance at a reflective surface across from the tv (if you must know, my mummy's painting) and catch an image of what looked, to me, like a TORI AMOS, so I ran in. It turned out to be Kathie Lee Gifford.. They were showing scenes of her new music video, as it seems she has taken up a musical career now. I was absolutely gobsmacked! She has died her hair red, grown it out, and had it done up JUST like Tori's. She even had what looked to be Tori's infamous LE-era earrings!! Her face bore SOME similarity, though in my opinion no woman (or man!) could ever stack up to our girl T. So here was this Tori-ed up Kathie Lee sat on a rock belting her heart out and I the only thing I could think of was telling you guys about it.. During the little interview segment that followed, even the way she was answering her interviewer's questions reminded me of Tori! She was VERY calm, as Tori usually is, and spoke slowly and sort of evasively.. Also like Tor.. This is totally unlike the image she's been portraying of herself lately!.. after seeing her and that bra thing this was so out there! What was that about anyway!? I hate to sound like a bitch, but I'm protective of things that are important to me (Like Tori), and I was thinking to myself "That bitch!! She's doing it on purpose!" Then I had this carnal urge to kill her.. but that's another story for another time and the feeling has passed.. I guess it's just part of being a GRRL! love Aim __________________________________*__________________________________ GiVe Me LiFe, GiVe Me PaiN, GiVe Me MySeLF aGaiN __________________________________*__________________________________ I Found her. I found where she has been hiding. She came out once, I followed her back there and I forced her to come home. It's so much warmer now. [I hear she still grants forgiveness, although I willingly forgot her. The offering is molasses. And you say, "I guess I'm an underwater thing so I guess I can't take it personally, I guess I'm an underwater thing, I'm liquid running."] - ToRi AMoS ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 27 Apr 2000 14:11:47 -0400 From: Nadyne Mielke Subject: Re: Collectibles and such At 06:23 PM 4/26/2000 -0500, Giovanni Mantilla wrote: [snip] >Has anyone got any idea of how could be the Crucify UK 7" Misprint worth? >A lovely friend of mine in the UK was nice enough to give one of her two >copies away to me and I just got it. I haven't had any issue finding the SATY 12". It's worth about the same as the MaaG 12", maybe $5-$10 less. The MaaG 7" isn't horribly difficult to find, I paid less than $10 for mine within the past year. >Third (and last), Paul Campbell shows in his book some particular items, >I'm referring to the test-pressing and in-house promo 7"s and cassettes for >Crucify (limited and regular), Winter, and even Little Earthquakes (the >whole album),. among others. There are usually -very- few test-pressings done for any single item -- usually less than ten. (That has changed since CD-Rs have become so prevalent, but not significantly.) Paul Campbell didn't have all of the items that are listed in the _Collectibles_ book, he had assistance from some collectors. /nad ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V5 #101 *************************************
