Well, I'm sure it kind of scared her that she actually wanted to get married to this guy, and maybe it was just teh regular spring feelings of romance hazing her decision. 'wait for Sunday' sounds like a reference to something very specific that was happening on a Sunday some time in her life. The song (to me) is like describing how she unbelievably fell in love with this man... The only line about Spring Haze I feel like I understand so far is "waiting on Sunday to drown." Tori has that quote about how normally when you're baptized, you get a few drops of water on your forehead but that she was held under the water for years. (Sorry, I can't reference that quote but I'm sure somebody else out there can.) I think about it that way. Sunday has that religious connotation and she's been drowned by the church. I can't figure the rest of it out yet. :) Erin ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Apr 2000 08:47:56 -0700 (PDT) From: Jennifer Mitts Cypres Subject: Re: Spring Haze > Spring Haze is by far my > favorite song on TVaB, and I > havent seen anything or heard anything on its > meaning or what its about. Even though we talked about it before and figured out that she wrote the song BEFORE JFK, Jr. was killed, I still can't get that thought out of my head each time I hear that song. It makes it so much more romantic and tragic. To me, that is the meaning of the song. I just chalk it up to "Tori's a psychic and something made her write that song and she wasn't in control of it", or something like that. ;) - -jen ===== "The common cold virus is the cockroach of all illnesses-- hundreds of breeds, constantly mutating, impossible to destroy...
