I love Mary, it would be great to see it on an Albulm and not on bootlegs. So many of my friends that don't have any boots have never heard that song and i make them a copy and they love it! I think what's called an Orchestra Hit. >Or something else that sounds like it. What distortion... ;) Actually, the story goes that Tori mic-ed her piano and ran the feed through distortion and out an amplifier, just like Jimi originally did. I think the distorted sound is actually a combo of distortion, reverb, and exceedingly high volume. I don't know much about the amplification of rock pianos, but apparently Tori has done some interesting things with it (like the Leslie Cabinet on Horses, you can here it get plugged in at the beginning of Beauty Queen). And, i personally am unaware of Tori using an electric multi-patch keyboard at any point previous to Choirgirl ... all the sounds were organic. krisis-- http://freespeech.org/krisis - krisis productions http://mp3.com/krisis - me on Mp3.com ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 12 Apr 2000 22:28:39 -0400 (Eastern Daylight Time) From: Samantha Michelle Beer Subject: Re: mp3 websites? The album is called: The Pretty Good Years A Tribute To Tori Amos (Dressed To Kill Records, 1999) The songs include: 1) Cornflake Girl 2) Silent All These Years 3) Crucify 4) Professional Widow 5) Caught A Lite Sneeze 6) Hey Jupiter 7) Winter 8) Leather 9) China 10) Baker Baker I have the album.
