Anyway, they had Molly Shannon (I think) as Tori sitting at the piano singing God, only the lyrics were "excuse me but can I be a Jew for a while?" She sang more, but I cant remember anything else. Just thought I'd share. There's a MP3 in circulation where someone remixed Tori's cover of Angie with the original Rolling Stones version. For those of you who use Napster , you can likely find it on there some time. Alternately, you can head to the newsgroup alt.binaries.tori-amos and ask nicely there if someone will post it for you. /nad ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Apr 2000 01:28:38 EDT From: NETG0DESS@aol.com Subject: Beenie Hello everyone, I was listening to my Toriboot of Storyteller's for the gazillionth time, and when she started to talking about her best freind beenie whom she adores... I was wondering... who is this beenie person? Has anyone ever seen her or met her in any of the shows in the US? Does she keep a low profile? Have pictures of her ever been shown in the media? I was just wondering...since there are so many references to her in her songs, who she is. Of course, maybe this is part of tori's personal life that should be kept private, which I do respect.... just curious though.... ~~MaRia ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *~*~*"Give me Peace, Love, and a Hard Cock" ~Tori Amos*~*~* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 04 Apr 2000 00:51:20 GMT From: "Venus Datura" Subject: Site make-over I've completely made over my site! P.S: a word of warning though, the Neil Gaiman, Book List and Games pages are not working yet, so have patience with those. Also, if you click on a link or something, it gets stuck in my links, so you'll have to cut and paste the address of the link into your browser. But that's it. Please come and have a browse. So I say all the more power to ya, Eric. I disagree that there wouldn't be anything left to learn. Tori's music has so many different layers, there's always something new to be discovered -- even in a song that you've heard a thousand times. But if you need a copy of the China single, I do have an extra. My husband bought me a copy of it for my birthday, not realising that I already had one. Oops. :) /nad ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 04 Apr 2000 14:40:44 -0400 From: Nadyne Mielke Subject: Extra bootlegs for sale or for trade I'm back from San Francisco and (hopefully) finally healthy again. :) This means that I'm open for trades and newbie trades. You can see my complete list at: http://www.mindspring.com/~mielke/Nadyne/ However, I discovered a small problem when I got home. While I was gone, some newbie trade requests came in, and I asked my husband if he would work on them for me. This means he finally had to learn how to use the software, horror of horrors! ;) But he did, and took care of nearly all of the 30 CDs before I got home. (Woo!) That is, of course, not the problem. The problem is that he decided to take it upon himself to burn me some extras. He burned at least 2, and sometimes 3 or 4, extras of almost all of the CDs. So much for that spindle of CDs I thought I had ... :o I now have what looks like a billion extra boots available. These CDs are open for trades or flat fees. For flat fees, I charge $8 per CD (so for a 2-CD set, it's $16 for the entire show), with 100% of the profits to RAINN. I only accept money orders drawn on US funds. I do not, under any circumstances, accept cheques. I will accept well-concealed cash, but it's at your own risk -- depends on how much you depend the Post Office. If you're outside the US, email me and we'll work something out -- if you're in Europe, for example, I really would like to replace some of my well-worn Terry Pratchett paperback books with the European hardcovers. Setlists for the shows are available on my website: http://www.mindspring.com/~mielke/Nadyne/ Anyway, without further ado, here are the CDs that need new homes. All of them are of good quality, some of them are stellar. The 1999 Buffalo show is the good one, not the really nasty one that's also in circulation. * "Back to Basics", 04/06 March 1994, London, England (2 CDs) [1] * 03 November 1996, Lawrence, Kansas (2 CDs) * 22 July 1998, Cleveland, Ohio (2 CDs) * 18 August 1998, Atlanta, Georgia (2 CDs) * 21 August 1998, Sunrise, Florida (2 CDs) * 10 October 1998, New Orleans, Louisiana (2 CDs) * 31 October 1998, West Lafayette, Indiana (2 CDs) * 28 November 1998, Akron, Ohio (2 CDs) * 03 September 1999, Buffalo, New York (1 CD) * 05 September 1999, Indianapolis, Indiana (1 CD) * 24 September 1999, KROQ, Los Angeles (1 CD) Here are some error-ridden CDs that also need new homes. They're available for one Priority Mail stamp each. CDs (2-second gaps, no artwork): * 03 September 1999, Buffalo, New York * 11 October 1999, Denver, Colorado, first disc only And finally, here are some extra tapes that I have. They're either tapes that I've since replaced on CD, or copies of DATs. I'm working on getting my DAT collection fully catalogued with full setlist and sound quality information, so I've been making tape copies as I listen to them. I might as well while I'm listening to them, right? :) These are also available for one Priority Mail stamp per tape. Tapes: * "A Kiss on the Glass", 06 May 1992, Seattle, Washington (1 tape) * "Blooming", 16 August 1992, West Palm Beach, Florida (1 tape) * 24 August 1992, Hollywood, California (1 tape) * 02 September 1992, San Francisco, California (1 tape) * 20 September 1992, Mountain Stage, Charleston, West Virginia (1 tape) * 29 October 1992, Montreal, Quebec (1 tape) * "Under the Pink Tour 1994", 10 April 1994, Hamburg, Germany (1 tape) * 02 July 1994, Detroit, Michigan (1 tape) * 07 July 1994, Cleveland, Ohio (1 tape) * "Childhood Memories", 29 July 1994, Raleigh, North Carolina (1 tape) * "Tori and Her Mask", 03 August 1994, Tampa, Florida (2 tapes) * 31 August 1994, San Francisco, California (1 tape) * "Sugar Baby", 01 September 1994, San Francisco, California (1 tape) * 13 October 1994, Masonic Auditorium, Toledo, Ohio (1 tape) * 09 September 1994, Sacramento, California (1 tape) * 29 October 1996, Lubbock, Texas (1 tape) * 15 June 1998, Vienna, Austria (1 tape) Also please note that I'm getting rid of my entire R.E.M. and Indigo Girls tape collections. If you're interested in any of those, the list for each one is available on the aforementioned website. I'll take one Priority Mail stamp per tape. Questions? Want something? Email me. :) /nad http://www.mindspring.com/~mielke/Nadyne/ [1] Note that there is a slight error on "Back to Basics". The first track of the second disc was accidentially put on the end of the first disc. It's not missing anything, and nothing's out of order, just one track got put on the wrong disc. :) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 04 Apr 2000 17:02:48 EDT From: "sweet alyssum" Subject: noir@smallbytes.com for some reason your email didn't work today, please email me so i can give you the final details on the MixTapeCircle.
