It was such a completely different experience! I parked where I stood for HOURS in line, I walked right in the door, and was able to stand, drink my beer, and talk with friends without being mauled and shoved around. Then when my friend's band came on, I walked right up to the stage and was in awe on 3 levels. One, I was thinking how very cool it was to be in the very front for once, I was finally seeing my friend's band go somewhere with a very large audience and finally he was standing right were Tori was sitting during the concert. he didn't know that till I informed him. Anyhoo,....sorry for the rambling. ~~b ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Mar 2000 19:02:17 EST From: Gidefab@aol.com Subject: Re: Trends Ange816 said in "Trends": "I just don't like her to be a trend like Britney Spears and all them. Am I just selfish when it comes to Tori or is this normal? " i know how you feel... at the 5 1/2 concert i was at we were standing next to some girls who completely struck me as NON-tori types, and i don't think they were die-hard fans. BUT, to use Tori's analogy - it's a party (with lots of wine), some of us arrive early and don't leave till the next day. someone else may stop in for a bit and just have one glass. she's inviting everyone, and everyone is welcome. some of us get to know one another a bit better and get to know the different wines - the people who only have one glass won't. but it's the same party. you get out of it what you put in. ;) just some really deep thoughts ;) Gidefab ****revving from an ether twist**** *tori amos* ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Mar 2000 19:58:02 -0000 From: "Danny.Weddup" Subject: Tea With the Waitress Hi everyone. Do any of you own a copy of Tea With the Waitress? I expect the answer's yes. I saw the cd at a record fair last month priced £40. Is that a reasonable kind of price? Also, is the cd worth paying all that money for? I know it's really a collector's item, but what is the interview like? I'd really appreciate any information. Thanks, Danny :o) PS- Did anyone else think that The Brit Awards beat The Grammies hands down in almost every aspect? It was faster and funnier, with less shit-gushing speech givers like Christina Aguilera. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Of course, Tori wasn't nominated but then she never is. Has she ever been up for a Brit? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 6 Mar 2000 14:15:53 EST From: XXXPandora@aol.com Subject: Re: looking for Tori fonts In a message dated 3/5/2000 11:12:47 PM Eastern Standard Time, pandorasaquarium@hotmail.com writes: << first of all, i wanted to thank everyone who was kind enough to reply to my Stardust question. I did locate a copy at Titan Comics...if anyone is looking for a copy of the graphic novel, try there. now, i have another question. i would really love to have some Tori Amos fonts. does anyone know where i can find them? i've been searching the net and can't come up with anything. >> the next time you want to find neil gaiman stuff on the net - go to www.dreamhavenbooks.com - besides having the most impressive collection of his works that I have found - they are the only company that has rights to publish Angels and Visitations, his first book of short stories. and as for the Tori fonts - they are mostly just normal typefaces with some effects on them - I haven't really sat down yet and figured out which fonts they are but if you let me know which ones in particular you are interested in ... I'll try to hunt them down for you. kisses, pandora~* ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V5 #56 ************************************
