Does anyone know what song >was played over the speakers while she was walking out. the theme from the tv show bonanza. woj p.s. thanks for asking -- i couldn't remember the opening music so i've been dredging through my under the pink tour recordings trying to find one which included the music. in the process, i (re)discovered some real gems - -- the lawrence, ks show, for instance, is fantastic -- she started the show by covering the beatles' "she's leaving home". wow. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 10 Feb 2000 21:25:23 -0000 From: "Danny.Weddup" Subject: Spark video rip off Hi people, Thank you muchly to the people who answered my question on do it again....next time I'm in MVC i'm going to try and find the steely dan album it's on. I was wondering, has anyone else noticed how the video of the new Death In vegas single, Aisha, is a rip off of the Spark video? Lone woman, running through the woods trying to escape a kidnapper/ killer, losing her shoes etc. Except they've dressed her scantily and given it a bit of a sexual edge, which I don't think is a good thing to do. It's a great song though. Much >better than the 'Cornflake Girl' performance on Jay Leno with the horn >section and his studio band backing her up... Has Tori performed pre-'band' >(pre Choirgirl) with these kinds of set-ups any other times? yup -- the one that comes to mind is when she played "crucify" with a band on (if i remember correctly) the tonight show back in 1992. more or less the remix which appeared on the "crucify" EP. it's a particularly amusing appearance since, probably due to space considerations, the piano was facing the wrong direction (left, not right) and the guitarist was seated practically right in front of her. woj ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 10 Feb 2000 09:55:12 -0500 From: Ryan S Subject: Re: Under the Pink Tour <> Hello Everyone: Wow! I am shocked you enojyed my quote ("No one else will share our thoughts, you were there for me when I was lost. Now you're just a memory of someone we wanted you to be. You were always the one to fall, now it's your time to show them who's tall.") This is from a song that I wrote called "Pablo's Halo." (C) 2000. The song is about my twenty year old cousin, Grant, who was murdered (gun shot to the head) by a sixteen year old last March. Unfortunately, he had a rough past yet was always there for me no matter what happened. "Now you're just a memory of someone we wanted you to be" tells how we will always love and remember him, but ask the question, "if he didn't lead such a rough life and hang with the wrong crowd, would he still be with us today?" The song honors Grant, while at the same time, is an athem for anyone who has ever lost a loved one--it's a "light at the end of the tunnel" song. "Pablo's Halo" is featured on my upcoming release of "summoned from the bridges of Babacan." The entire cd is a collection of original songs performed by myself alone at the piano. If anyone is interested in purchasing "summoned from the bridges of Babacan", please email me. Thank you for your support, it means a great deal.
