Those are the same guests as the October 14, 1999 episode of Conan, and I've seen this listed as a repeat elsewhere. In fact, the entire week of Conan shows this week is repeats. Yesterday I went to the mall and I was browsing through a cd store and I came across the To Venus And Back songbook! I was so excited because I had gone into the same store a thousand other times to see if they had it and they never did so I just figured they'd never get it. I wasn't planning on buying any songbooks but there was only one other copy and no other place around where I lived had it so I decided to go ahead and buy it. I think it's probably going to be one of my favorite's. I've been playing Bliss a lot and it sounds pretty good. Lust sounds pretty good too. Also, I was in Waldenbooks and came across this VH1 Rock Stars book (I'm not sure on the exact name) and I found Tori in it. They had almost a page and a half on her (and the pages are pretty big too). They had sort of a time line listing all the major events from when she was a kid up until her 2 grammy nominations for the 99 grammys. There was some very interesting stuff in there. I had no idea that God was #1 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart in the U.S. The book was priced at $29.95 I think. Just thought I'd let everyone know, Andrew ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Jan 2000 20:50:17 EST From: Gidefab@aol.com Subject: Re: precious-things-digest V5 #14 OK - please do not bash me for not remembering this: i know i have read/heard it, but i did not write it down... does anyone know what brands of lip gloss tori is into? in her tv interviews it looks great. thanks!! My mailbox has been full for days now with your comments on the mix CD idea. Some of them are positive, and some are quite negative. I'm going to go ahead with it, because the positive responses outweight the negative. And I don't see it as a bad money making scheme, since I'm donating the profits to RAINN. The bottom line, is that if you think it's cool, great. If not, I'm sorry! But I'm going to do it, if nothing else, for RAINN. I'm going to start the work on it this week. My idea is to start a webpage with this mix CD idea and eventually add other stuff, with all the profit going to RAINN. Thanks for your input! Good or bad, it has been helpful. I will e-mail the list when things are all set to go. Thanks! I got my Direct From Brooklyn video, my Severe Tire Damage cd, and my t-shirt in the mail the other day, and boy was I excited. Let me just say, if you're not acquainted with Giant music, you are missing out. They're excellent. The videos are superb. And the t-shirt fits. Seriously, though. You should all look into them, but that's not the point! The point is, that when I was in... probably third or fourth grade (that would translate to eight or nine years ago), there was an episode of Tiny Toons that was a mockery of MTV. Montana Max sang "Money, that's what I want," I think. Some of the other characters sang songs too. But TMBG had two videos on there! The Tiny Toons people made videos for "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" and "Particle Man" that starred the Tiny Toons stars. Am I tickling anyone's memory bone? Anyway, I hadn't seen them in years, but they were put on this video compilation. In the "Istanbul" one, Plucky is riding along on a camel when he passes under an archway thing into a city. He smacks into a sign, and the camel keeps running, and Plucky slowly slides off. AND the sign says (here comes the Tori content) DEW DROP INN!!! I thought it was pretty exciting. This was in like '91, probably, before Tori's tour. And it was just plain cute. I thought you all should have to hear about it. So there's my story, everyone. The moral is, if you're not listening to TMBG, you're wasting your life!!! No, just kidding. But they are good. And, uhh... yeah.
