I have an extra of the wooden boxes for _To Venus and Back_. I purchased one for myself, and got a second as a Christmas gift. This wooden box has a laser-etched picture of Tori on the front. Inside are both discs and liner notes from the new album. There were only 250 made. I paid $180 from EQS (although it's no longer listed on their page). There are two other similar boxes to this: one from France for LE (1000 made), and one from (I believe) this same company with LE and the original SATY single (250 made). Both of these are extremely scarce, and the last time I saw either of them go on eBay, it was for more than $300. The TVaB box is of the same quality, and of the same limited edition. I will entertain any reasonable offer for this, including trades. If anyone offers more than I paid for it, profits will (as always) go to RAINN. I just want to recoup my own costs. I would prefer not to use eBay to sell this. Questions? Email me. /nad {and apologies to all the moderators for using the wrong email address on the initial posting} ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 06 Jan 2000 22:27:32 -0800 From: SurryNet Subject: Someone Please Make an MP3 of Concertina Radio Version I know half of you are going to flame me for this, but would someone PLEASE make an MP3 of the Radio Version of Concertina. Its not like we're ripping Tori off because we can't exactly buy it at any local store. The description at the DENT made it sound very kewl. I'm looking for a copy of the 1999 Good Faeries/Bad Faeries calendar (Brian Froud). I don't care if it is used, ie: has things written in the date portion, etc. Does anyone have one that they are just going to get rid and/or maybe would want to donate to a poor, faerieless DragonGrl? The Tori Amos Videography seems really good, but I'm sure the other sites are really good as well. I don't believe that Tear In Your Hand was a single and thus has no video (hey, I could be wrong but I've never seen one!), but the videography site has a video of her doing it live. hopefully helpful, emily >Date: Tue, 4 Jan 2000 21:54:16 -0800 >From: "Venus Datura" >Subject: Quicktime video clips? > >Does anyone know where I can get Quicktime video clips of anything, but >Tear In Your Hand, most particularly. You'll be all pleased to note that the "To Venus and Back" quotes section already contains around sixty-five quotes that Tori has said about the album and the songs contained. Unfortunately Tori hasn't spoken on "Spring Haze" at all yet, although a quote I've found on "Zero Point" sounds alluringly like "Spring Haze." The best news of all? Tori has finally spoken on "Black-Dove", and I encourage you all to now visit the damn choirgirl page to see exactly what it's about. It's quite a beautiful, if not disturbing quote, and I think it's fairly self-explanatory as to why she's never spoken about it before. Anyway, there's my (belated) Christmas present to the TA net community. Enjoy! The URL for the TALD can be found in my sig. Well, sometimes more than once, nevertheless you should take note when it decides to make a house call. That said, allow us to announce the chance to see both the celestial Tori Amos and the emotive Beth Hart perform -- back to back! We're talking about the Hard Rock Live concert series on VH1, and this Saturday at midnight the queens of the ivories will be featured in their own double-header premier. Of course, as can be inferred, there will be a few other follow-up dates -- the program will be re-airing on January 14th at 6PM and on the 19th at 2AM.
