Most of Oceans can be played on piano as just chords; i did so the other day and it sounded wonderful. http://fly.to/AMkitchen/ http://pianofae.future.easyspace.com/ http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Adam_Klein/tori.htm The Choirgirl book took at least 3 months from the date of album release, probably closer to four. I am hoping to see the book early next year. I am personally having a bit of trouble with the verses of Spring Haze and anything in Riot Poof (i am trying to figure them out on guitar), so if anyone has any helpful hints... (I am attempting playing Haze capo 1st fret, tho i forget what key it is in). So, there you go; i hope the Oceans chords work out for you and if you have any comments or corrections i am totally open to them. krisis fly.to/AMkitchen ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Nov 1999 09:27:15 -0600 From: "Bailey, Doug S" Subject: London Tree I have a CD burner as well...please feel free to include me in the tree. AB has produced some VERY AWESOME collaborations, my favorites being his work with Julee Cruise for Twin Peaks. I highly doubt this will be a Tori album though. Well I meandered on over to the singles area to see if perhaps they had the Tori Glory of the 80s singles. They had both of them, and I snatched both of them up. I got one of the last copies of each. I haven't opened them, and I am wondering if I should?? Is there any new information about what is going to be pulled, or come back to the shelves? I really want to hear these songs, but if I shouldn't open them for collector's value I won't. I can just hopefully find an mp3. The cd I bought with Twinkle and Blue Raincoat on it has a sticker that says "Made In Germany" while the other has "Made In England." Okay, I was just seeing what is new. They showed the Glory video (great, I love it) and they had a little interview. Tori didn't look like she felt very comfortable though she smiled most of the time, she didn't talk that much. But I mean, the guy was kinda really bad informed, he asked something like: so you started playing the piano at the age of 4? and So this is your fourth album? stupid!!! Then he wanted her to teach him a bit of playing the piano. They had a keyboard and she taught him to play some notes and then she started to sing (very beautifully): everytime that you look in the mirror, all the lines in my face are getting clearer. you know it's true: all the feelings come back to you. sing with me, sing for the years, singing for my laughter, singing volunteer, sing with me, just for the day, never tomorrow's day, good lord'll take you away (or something like it). Does anyone know this song, I don't. Then he said : Thanks a lot, Tori. I'll show you the only song I know, it's a typical german song, it's called the Schneewalzer. He played it and after some time she kinda pushed him away:) (well, not really) and played it too just after hearing it once! That was really cool. Then he said something like: "ok, you're better..." after all I had the impression that she kinda liked him (don't know why though). So I hope I didn't bore you with that. bye:) Anna ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Nov 1999 19:04:46 EST From: SYNCJ05@aol.com Subject: Tori "Glory of the 80s" out in US? hey ewf~ sorry if this is a dumb quesiton but is the Glory single out in the US yet???? thanx. Well written K. I even used this dilemma in my philosophy course when arguing free will and stuff. I had a chance to join the "regulars" starting at Camden. Two friends tried to talk me into "just one more show", which could have turned out to be twenty had I wanted. They assured me that tickets and rides weren't difficult to come by. I would have loved joining the gang on the road. It probably would have been a blast. But I'm just too freakin' old for that life anymore (I hear Richard laughing from here, yeah yeah old man). I mean that I *Chose* to stay home and start school and be a responsible, albeit boring, adult. Those crazy lunatics who hit show after show deserve every goodie they got and definitely *Don't* deserve any flack from those of us who decided to look after other priorities. Chasing after Tori cross-country really isn't that enviable a thing if you think about it. I figure surviving in sparse, homeless conditions for a minimum of 20 hours a day for two hours of ecstasy at night is a fine balancing act. Those who chose to do this have really got to be getting something out of Tori that is too powerful for us silly, responsible people to understand. ;) I got to see Richard when it was all over. He was in a state somewhere between exhaustion and delirium, dreading the thought of the reality that was due to hit him when he got home. I have a feeling that this state of being was common to the "regulars". I wouldn't want to have to deal with coming to earth after a couple of months of orbiting Venus. I would probably want to kill myself. ;) I feel so fortunate to be able to hear and share in the experience that Richard had. I feel sorry for those of you who don't have the opportunity to find out what a marvelous, strange trip it had been. And I pity you fools who don't Want to know. You have no idea what you are missing. Sure hope someone is writing a book about "On the Road".
