You said: "< Subject: chart position well this goes to show that the best music is not the best-selling. NIN's the fragile is 43, Melissa Ethridge is 38, tori is 75, and indigo girls are 89. these are some of the best CDs out there (IMHO). sorry, had to vent. anthonY:) but wait..do we want them to sell that big? nope. O.K. So I posted to this list a few days ago about the fact that I'm a goofball and messed up my tape of the Rosie O'Donnell show. A wonderful toriphile named Kristina responded and was going to record it for me. However, it seems the goofball disease is catching...Ms. Kristina messed up her tape. (Kristina - ::*wink*::) So, if there is anyone else out there who would be willing to make a copy of their Rosie tape for me, I would truly love you forever. Thank you! ~~*~dawn~*~ P.S. By the way, thank you for trying, Kristina!!! :) Sorry you messed up your tape. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 29 Oct 1999 23:28:51 EDT From: angel dust Subject: "1,000 oceans" video on the romance channel hey all ewf of precious things i just saw the 1,000 oceans video. but you'll never guess where..... on the romance channel! i was flipping past to get to the independent film channel to watch "mute witness" about a mute amercian girl in moscow who is chased by people because she winessed a murder, but anyway, it was on the ROMANCE CHANNEL! what's going on here? they don't play videos on that channel. at least not to my knowlege. did anyone else happen to catch it to prove i'm not wacko? actually, i already know i am because my mother watched it with me. she really likes that song. but she "hates" ::gasp:: the rest of tori's stuff..... anyways, i'm bored and i wanna talk..... like latex, fur and feathers: angel ___________________________________________________________________ Get the Internet just the way you want it. I'm really enjoying the recommendations and discussions, mostly because I'm enrolled in Cornell's fine and famous Wines class. Its an awesome class, they teach us about the regions and the wines, grape varietals etc and then for the last hour of every class we get to taste six wines. Some of them are so amazing....we tasted one red from 1980 that was divine...soft and velvety. They get a lot of the wines from donations by wineries and so some are really great and some aren't quite as good. I don't have my wine notes with me but if there's interest, I know there are some wines I really enjoyed (and plan to purchase) for $15 and under. So if anyone is interested at hearing what wines are recommended by the premier hotel school in the country...let me know! heather ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 29 Oct 1999 13:04:52 -0700 (PDT) From: Vangie <01schris@jasper.uor.edu> Subject: A great day! Hi everyone! I don't post to this list very often, but I just had to tell you about my Tori-filled day yesterday. The day started off well, since my 9:30 class was cancelled. When I did finally get up, I checked my mailbox on the way to class, only to find that a new issue of the Really Deep Thoughts newsletter had come! I was rather surprised but very happy to see one again, it's been a while since the last issue hasn't it? I received the admiration of my peers in class while reading my RDT #12, and everyone wanted to borrow it. After class, I was on my way to the store when I saw a car that had a license plate starting with "2VAB". I said "wow!" really loud and everyone in the parking lot looked at me, but I didn't care because it was pretty cool. That evening, I was talking to a friend of mine, and he complained that his copy of Boys For Pele has the tornado mix of Talula, although he liked the original version better. Since I had an extra copy of the old BFP, I offered to trade him for it. So now I have both versions on the full-length CD! *grin* Overall it was a very eventful day. I hope everyone else will have as good of a time today! :) Scott Christiansen ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V4 #326 *************************************
