Oh, absolutely. It seems there are enough bad feelings about the whole thing on the security end of this that they might end up doing something stupid to try to get rid of the things, though. They do have genuine concerns about the safety and health of folks and it's hard to think they would willingly risk ugliness if they could help it, but, of course, the changes they're trying to install may very well create that anyhow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for folks who haven't met her, but I haven't tried to talk to her on this tour and have no plans to. Okay, when I asked where the video was shot, I actually had an idea but I thought it might have been wishful thinking. Okay, here's the story. I went to the last show of the plugged tour. It was Dec. 3 and it was in East Lansing at Michigan State University in the Breslin Events Center. I now attend Michigan State University. Just started last week (freshman). I love this school, but that's not my point. So, yesterday I'm in one of the buildings on campus and there's a TV in the lobby as we're walking in. Bliss was on the screen in. I only caught the end of the video which I've been dying to see cause I haven't yet. I see the live stuff with the audience and I KNEW it was the Breslin center cause I was there just two days ago. I was also almost positive that she wore that outfit at that concert, too. And I know there was a camara man on stage, but I thought that could be for a bunch of things. I thought it might be wishful thinking, but the fact that you guys say it was the last two shows I'm almost sure of it, unless the place in Grand Rapids (2nd to last show) looks like the Breslin center and if she wore similar outfits, which is possible. But I think it was at the Breslin Center which I think is totally awsome cause it was my show and it's at my school! Sorry, can't contain my happiness! Bye all! EEhhhh....of course, this will eventually happen. But I really don't see it as happening very soon. Like I've said before, during the plugged tour in Rochester, no number system was used, there was well over 30 people, and it went extremely well. There was no shoving from *anyone*, things were passed up (and I know for a fact that no one's stuff was stolen...they would've been bitching, and the majority of us hung out there adn talked afterwards), and Tori talked to a *lot* of people. It was just greatness, IMO. :o) and hell, it's not like meet & greets are an official happening...personally, i think we're _extremely_ lucky to have had them for 5 tours now. as it's been said, they're a privilege, and we really can't expect them to be around forever. > While I realize that there were reasons >for getting rid of the number system, I don't > think enough thought was given >to what was going to happen when the only >system was ditched without being replaced by >anything else. agreed, definitely agreed. but we also have to take into consideration that (AFAIK), the number system didn't start until the middle of the Plugged tour. and from what i've heard, it was great when it first started...but then evilness seeped in and it was pretty much dead from then on. :P Of course, my few experiences with the number system have been bad ones, so I'm definitely biased. They were all at the end of the Plugged tour, and I've been against it as a whole ever since. IMEs, they were run by 1 or 2 people screaming (literally) at everyone else. It was really quite embarassing to watch *them* embarassing themselves. Bah. :P But yeah, it's definitely agreed that there should be *some* sort of order. But the # system isn't happening (hallelujah), and people going nuts and someone getting hurt would be a Really Bad Thing(tm). :\ just my $0.50. Seems to me the best system would be a lottery. At some point before the M&G you give your seat number which goes in a drum. [A laptop could be very useful here... :] 40 or so are picked out to go inside the venue (or something) for a visit. Cameras are not allowed in the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto. If you choose to sneak one in, be aware that security has been pretty tight on this tour (including metal detectors in Nashville). During the show, DO NOT USE THE FLASH. This bears repeating: DO NOT USE THE FLASH. DO NOT USE THE FLASH. DO NOT USE THE FLASH. Why? 1) It's rude to the artist. 2) It's rude to your fellow audience members. 3) Unless you're sitting in Tori's lap, it won't do you any good. And if you are sitting in Tori's lap, it won't do you any good anyway, because Joel will be by shortly to rip your arms off. 4) It's roughly equivalent to putting a neon sign over your seat that says, "Hey, security! A couple of days ago my mum and dad ate lunch at this restaurant/cafe called Legends. In the day it is just a normal cafe, families eat in there, but in the evening it is an all gay bar. Anyway, while my mum and dad were in there, my mum was looking around and she noticed this huge framed, signed photo of Tori! Also up on the wall were autographs from Janet Jackson, Liza Minelli and the cast of Friends. I really don't know how they got hold of them. Under the Tori pic there was a notice that said it was for sale at £60 (which is $99). Does anyone know if this is a reasonable price? So, as a result my dad keeps saying Tori is a gay icon. Is she? What you need for dark lighting shots is a film speed of 400 or more (check the camera/film manf. reccomendations). Set your shutter speed for the proper film speed and the shutter will stay open longer, let more ambient light in. You have to be extra careful not to jiggle tho, or you'll blur it.
