Sadly, I will not be able to go to the Tori show in Atlanta on August 21, so I have to sell my tickets. And keep in mind that this is the day before her birthday for those of you who like to give gifts. They are excellent seats: Section 102, Row D, seats 25-26. That is center section, 4th row...I paid $118.10 for them, so I am charging $120 to round it off. As you can see, I'm not making some huge profit. I will, however, take other offers! :) Just email me if you're interested. I hope to hear from some of you soon, Kristin ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 31 Jul 1999 23:22:06 PDT From: "H P" Subject: bliss lyrics Hey everyone, I've been listening to Bliss on Real Audio... for everyone who hasn't heard it yet heres the the link http://members.xoom.com/_XOOM/spinrevltn/bliss.ra I love all Tori's music so much but i think this song might actually be a favorite. Okay, so I haven't heard it yet, still downloading the RA file. Anyways, I did look at the lyrics. I don't know. Remember Tori commenting that her father didn't like the PLUGGED sound of FTCGH. I see a little connection there. But I hope this song doesn't symbolize a void in their relationship. I hope Tori will explain this one because it really worries me. I mean, I saw the guy twice on the plugged tour and he looked sort of feeble to me. I don't know though. Or maybe it's just an agreement that they don't exactly see eye to eye on everything. The lyrics seem VERY improvish to me. I guees I'm jumping to conclusion, though. It may not be about Tori and her dad at all. But that's just me. ;) I have a thought on the first line of the song. (Father...I killed my monkey) Tori talks about having an imaginary friend who's a purple monkey named Clunky. Maybe she's referring to him. That possibly her dad (or father figures in general) think that's childish or weird or whatever. Or maybe that the father in the song took the inner child, the free spirit out of the narrator. I also got an idea about a line in Spark. The 6:58 time always confused me...I didn't know if that was what time it was when they told about her baby dying, or some other reference. One idea is in the Stephen Crane short story "the Blue Hotel" somebody goes to meet a train that comes in at 6:58. My more Tori-related possibility is that essentially, "Mother" is 6:58. (It's listed as 6:59 but only blinks onto the 59 for a fraction of a second.) Do you think that could be a reference to her own song? Like "Mother are you sure where my spark is?" Just throwing stuff out for you guys. This is what I do in my spare time, since I don't have a life. :) Hugs, Erin ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 01 Aug 1999 19:44:07 EDT From: "joyful girl" Subject: bliss lyrics...here they are here ya go... father i killed my monkey i let it out to touch the sweet of spring wonder if i *will* wander out (thanks startdirt! that's what i meant) test my tethers to see if i'm still free from you chorus: steady as it comes right down to you see you so maybe we're bliss of another kind i said bliss of another kind i said lately i'm into circuitry what it means to be made of you but not enough for you well i wonder if you can bi-locate is that what i taste your supernova juice you know it's true i'm part of you chorus: steady as it comes right down to you see you so maybe we're bliss of another kind i said steady as it comes right down to you see you so maybe you force into me the power of god -OR- four-horse engine with the power of god, a hot machine i said i could cheat enough into your mind i said take it take it baby tear it tear it shred it daddy i said steady as it comes right down to you see you so maybe we're bliss of another kind i said bliss of another kind i said bliss of another kind i said bliss of another kind i said bliss daddy bliss daddy bliss daddy of another kind > > >Hey everyone, > >I've been listening to Bliss on Real Audio... >for everyone who hasn't heard it yet heres the the link > >http://members.xoom.com/_XOOM/spinrevltn/bliss.ra > >I love all Tori's music so much but i think this song might actually >be a >favorite.
