I expect >very little from those people... They do know how to spell "Hootie," >though.. Okay, after reading Richard's comment about the whole "typos" thing... I started thinking. It's very obvious that Atlantic has never really cared too much for Tori. I mean... didn't they send her overseas when she first signed, because they thought she would flop or whatever? Secondly... god knows what shitty promotional techniques (or lack there of) they use with her. I mean... singles galore with LE, UTP, & BFP, but the number of 'em being released seems to be declining. I mean hell... speaking of Hootie... they put out their Musical Chairs CD more than a year ago but they're still releasing singles AND promoting the album. So with all this... I wonder why Tori doesn't get her own label. You know... like Madonna has Maverick and from what I understand... she pretty much has most the control of what gets released when. I, personally, think Tori should start releasing her albums on her own label... that way she could have more say so in it all. (Okay... does Tori have her own label, like Igloo or something like that in which she released Pet on or something or am I thinking about somebody else???) Okay, I'm really not stupid... honest. ~Shai _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. I live in South Mississippi.......right on the water. This place is so completely devoid of anything remotely Tori, with the exception of one store. I called a local radio station to request ANYTHING by Tori, and they laughed and said, "we don't play THAT kind of music here." These people piss me off. At my high school (about 1500 people) I know of about 3 people who are as into Tori as I am. This seems like a good thing but I'm changing high school's......I'll be attending the Mississippi School for Math and Science next year. And let me tell you, I'm looking forward to going to a place which is even MORE devoid of Tori than here........so I'll be looking to the list a lot more as time goes on. Sorry for rambling, I just had to get that off my chest. Oh while I'm at it I might as well formally introduce myself. I'm a 16 year old guy that lives in the lovely state of Mississippi (HA!!!). I can't wait to get out of this place. I sarted listening to Tori about 2 and 1/2 years ago when my sister, who was off at college at the time, loaned me Little Earthquakes. I just fell in love. I was 13 at the time so i didn't understand some of the music but I've learned as I've matured. Then i got the other albums one by one. I have still yet to see her live....and it's sad to say that i will not be able to go to any of the shows this year (and I'm disappointed that she's not coming to New Orleans..:o(. I'll be up at school, which is a boarding school, and it'll be my first couple weeks and that's when they are the most strict. *sigh* But anyway, I'll really stop rambling now. Thanks for reading my crap (if you got this far.....hehehe). ~~~See you in the DreamTime ~~~Eric >From: "Terry Ferrell" >Reply-To: "Terry Ferrell" >To: precious-things@smoe.org >Subject: Tori in VA >Date: Sat, 10 Jul 1999 05:30:20 GMT > > >Hey Guys, > >Okay I live in VA and I have noticed that I have been hearing a lot of Tori >lately here.
