I dreamed that she was my teacher in a class about literature appreciation. I was very excited to tell all my fellow EWF's because for some reason you didn't know that she was my teacher. At the end of one class I finally approached her to ask her a few things. The only reason I bring this up is because I've been thinking about it all day and I thought, what a wonderful idea for Tori to be a teacher. I mean, she kind of is already. I know I've learned alot from her about telling the truth, and above all finding the truth inside yourself. She continue's to live, rather than simply exist, despite her fame, and this gives her more material to work with. But I wonder if Tori has ever given teaching a thought, maybe even something like just teaching philosophy. I was just throwing out examples), that maybe she is growing more popular with every album? I mean, there's been talk about how bad the meetngreets were on the last tour and also how there's now a younger audience for Tori. >> well obviously ... haven't you noticed (just on this list alone there is evidence) that a large percentage of Tori fans have sprung up since BFP?? Okay, this is probably something thats been covered so many times, I'm gonna get flamed off the net for it, but..... Has anybody make a connection between Take to the Sky and Y Kant Tori Read? I was listening to this song while I drove my girlfriend home tonight, and it kinda just hit me. Here's my evidence: This house is like Russia with eyes cold and grey you got me moving in a circle, I dyed my hair red today Talking about the house she wrote little earthquakes in. I believe TttS was one of the first ones she wrote there, wasn't it? You got me moving in a circle could be a reference to the faerie circle she sat and wrote her songs in. And the dyed my hair part goes without explanation. I just want a little passion to hold me in the dark Tori's reason for Y Kant Tori Read. Perhaps she felt she needed a bit more excitement than just her and the piano. I know I've got some magic buried, buried deep in my heart This could mean that while Tori knew YKTR was a failure, she also knew that deep down she had the ability to make it big. but my priest says you ain't saving no souls my father says you ain't makin any money my Doctor says you just took it to the limit YKTR never seemed to "touch" anybody like the other albums have. Maybe she was using a little foresight. She also didn't appear to make much money off of YKTR. and here I stand with this sword in my hand The YKTR sword. There's a picture of her writing songs with the sword hanging on the wall. Perhaps that's her one reminder of YKTR you can say it one more time what you don't like let me hear it one more time then have a seat while I take to the sky This is Tori basically saying to Atlantic, "Go ahead and tell me I'm terrible, go ahead and tell me YKTR is bad, but I'll win eventually". This line might have come from when Atlantic sent a representative to help Tori with Little Earthquakes. if you don't like me just a little, well, why do you hang around if you don't like me just a little why do you take it These are the two intermixed lines. this could be from all the negative criticism Tori got from YKTR, but still Atlantic kept after her to do another album. I could be right, I could be dead wrong, but I'm interested in knowing you all of you think.
