I hate the way they premiere her videos, play them a couple of times, and then they just disappear. But that's another issue. Anyway, back to your question- my favorite of the ones I've seen would either be Silent All These Years, more for sentimental reasons than the actual video, or Caught a Lite Sneeze, just because, it's, well, beautiful to watch and one of my favorite songs. Though Spark did catch me off guard (it's hard to explain why), so it's at least an honorable mention, if not a fave. :) ___________________________________________________________________ Get the Internet just the way you want it. What is she currently reading? 2. Whose music is she listening to now? 3. Will there be a meet-n-greet on the 5-1/2 weeks tour? 4. What're her favorite red and white wines? 5. What's her shoe size? Please, if any of you have any specific questions about her life/music, email them to me and I'm going to compile a master list. Any questions we've been knocking around on the list here that we have no definitive answers for-- those are good fodder! I can't wait to compile these! No general questions allowed. As you may have noticed, I slipped and let one through earlier this week that I probably shouldn't have, not because it was way off topic but simply because of the amount of message traffic it might generate. Sure enough, things have quickly gotten out of hand. After last night's deluge and then the 30+ survey replies waiting for me today I've decided that it would be best to stop the thread at this point. One of the purposes of this list was to provide a lower-volume forum for Tori discussions and survey's like this one tend to shoot the list volume through the roof, causing some people's mailboxes to overflow and driving others from the list entirely. And while I'm writing I'll mention two other things that seem to need to be restated periodically. First, to unsubscribe from either version of precious-things please follow these simple steps: 1) Use the email account you are trying to unsubscribe. 2) Address your email to majordomo@smoe.org (not to the list address) 3) In the body of the message write either unsubscribe precious-things or unsubscribe precious-things-digest 4) Send the email. 5) If you get an error message from majordomo (claiming for example that the address you are trying to unsub isn't a member of the list) please contact woj and I at owner-precious-things@smoe.org Second, please remember that all posts for the list *must* be sent as plain text, rather than as HTML, mixed plain/HTML or some other format. Peace, Love and Lollipops. I'm 19 right now (20 later this summer) and I've been a HUGE HUGE HUGE EWF since I first found out about Tori at age 14. I can give many reasons as to why I got so into her, but I'll save you from the extensive listing. Anyway, no one in my group of friends, nor even in my high school liked her. The closest thing I heard was, "oh I think I have that album somewhere." My friends thought I was odd for being so into a musician, let along *Tori*. When she went on tour, I asked all of my friends if they would go see her with me (I had a spare ticket, and didn't want to go alone at that age). I even offered to give it to my friends for FREE if they would accompany me. NOPE! I had no luck. I ended up taking my sister (who is 5 years younger than me and likes tori too - not quite to the same extent though). Then I thought I'd surely meet someone in college who liked Tori. After the first year, I was sad to conclude that I was mistaken. I was to live with 7 new people my sophomore year, and I was sure that at least one would like her to some degree. I was wrong again. However, I was fortunate enough to meet someone on the Plugged '98 tour who was as big a fan as me, and we now are good friends (and go to all the Tori concerts we can go to together). Plus, I met a great guy who also liked tori! What more could you ask for in a man (J/K). :) My conclusion (after my own experiences w/ friends, tours, etc. is that there are other young Tori fans out there, you just have to look, HARD. When it says she's the quickest girl in the frying pan, I think it means that most girls(or anyone in that matter) have negative things being thrown at them, or feel trapped in the "frying pan", a depression. Or there's people trying to "fry" them. Of all those girls, Marianne's the quickest. She's the one who can prevent being fried, cheer things up a little for people, outrun the person who's trying to "fry" all the girls. She won't let things that stop most people get her down.
