Most of my friends don't like Tori too much, they're the "rapper, hip-hop" types (I don't mind that kind of music either though) except for my best friend who is a Toriphile also. All the friends that do like Tori, were ones I converted. I've never actually met someone that has liked her, or heard of her, before I played them her music. Believe me, I make no attempt to decipher something that is so personal about Tori's life, and I'm sure I will never decipher the solid, clear meaning of "Professional Widow" because I believe there is not one...like poetry, there are little twists and turns which allows everyone to interpret them in their own little ways. They weren't being promoted other than online then however, so the folks who aren't online didn't know to call and buy them, though. IIRC Real Audio files in their highest quality mode are still smaller than a decent-sounding MP3. You wouldn't be saving disk space or improving the quality. The only difference would be the player you'd use. In fact, the conversion FROM Real Audio to MP3 could actually make them sound worse! To address your question about actually creating MP3s, I suggest looking through the mp3.com site. I found some instructions on making MP3s on the Mac after one click. Here's the URL: http://www.mp3.com/faq/making.html Just remember, for MP3s the quality of the encoder makes a difference in how good the file sounds. Cheap/free encoders will not sound nearly as good as the expensive ones. Keith S. - -- ** -- ** -- ** -- ** -- ** -- ** -- ** -- ** -- ** -- ** -- ** -- ** -- Keith D. I have two (2) tickets for the 5 1/2 Weeks Tori and Alanis tour that I'm selling. My friend surprised me with two more, so I'm going to part with the ones I originally bought. These ARE NOT the greatest seats, but they're better than the ones that are currently available through ticketmaster. They are for the Six Flags Darien Lake show on Sept. 3rd @ 7:30 pm. The seats are Sec. 304, Row 6, seats 17 and 18. I'm selling them for exactly how much I bought them for, which is $41.69 a piece, but I'm willing to negotiate since the seats aren't really good.
