You mean that tiny, outdated Spivak quote, Joanne? Clearly, RS had some reason to have ended up with a mention by Spivak of an upcoming tour and the quickly out-of-date word from him saying a 3-CD set was to be released. Spin clearly didn't have that going on, but obviously all the music pubs had access to the press release and press conference about the tour, both of which came out some weeks later than RS spoke with or overheard Spivak. Just because Spivak ended up being quoted in RS doesn't mean all music magazines had access to that kind of thing from him. And it is possible with extra effort to change copy late, or even to tack on little news items if they're in an area of a magazine which needn't be nailed down in advance with every little detail, such as the Random Thoughts area of RS. Most of RS can be planned out many weeks in advance and they could save a set number of pages for Random Thoughts and fit the exact items in there a few, rather than many weeks in advance. But by and large--and others who work or have worked on magazines will attest to this--it's a pain in the ass to change stuff late in the game. > Could it be possible that Rolling Stone knows about it or is able to > add it in there and Spin doesn't??? The suffix -phile is pertaining to a certain... obsession of sorts. Unfortunately, the only example I can think of is "Pedophile" meaning somebody who's obsessed with little kids... blah. I know there are probably better 'phile' examples out there, but I couldn't think of one. Toriphile is generally a good use of the suffix, tho. :) "Ears with Feet" is what Tori refers to her fans as... we're ears with feet and she's a 'dirty mouth with feet' as she called herself in the Authorized Biography by Kalen Rogers. :) The "Ears With Feet" Comment came from something she recorded for internet fans.. so maybe that "EWF" concept is just pertaining to the online Toriphiles, but I could be wrong... I'd like to think she meant it to be all of her fans. :) Anywhoo, I hope that helps! - -- ^_~Megasus~_^ http://members.xoom.com/Megasus/ ICQ# 14241089 *~The Divine Princess of the Church of Daughter-chan!~* *~List Admin of the Xelloss-Lovers ML!~* "I've been raisin' up my hands, drive another nail in.. got enough guilt to start my own religion.." -Tori Amos "Just when you escape, you have yourself to fear.." -Tori Amos ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Jun 1999 20:30:21 EDT From: XXXPandora@aol.com Subject: Re: Care and feeding of Tori posters In a message dated 6/3/1999 7:05:25 PM Eastern Daylight Time, nadyne@rmta.org writes: << What is a good and inexpensive way to display my posters and not ruin my walls? Well they were pretty inexpensive, come in a few different sizes including standard poster size and look like nice frames. What they consist of is a clear plastic sleeve type thing that you slide the poster into and then four slider things that you stick on the sides. I know they come in black and white, and maybe a few other colors. They look like real frames, without matting and stuff, and hold up great - i have on my wall thats holding a collage I made of Tori pictures - and just to show you how old it is - its all in black and white because I didn't have a color printer yet (remember when they were like really really expensive?) and after all these years it looks the same as it did the day I made it. She's a busy girl -- She did a big tour, she's going to be at Woodstock, and now she's touring with Tori... so there's alot going on in the Alanis world right now.. so she's been spoken of more that Tori, I think..
