My friend has recently been through a miscarriage and I'm going to get her ftcgh and was wondering if anyone could recommend any websites where I can find interviews with Tori where she talks about the miscarriage and/or any song interpretations that encompass the miscarriage trauma that she went through. I ordered one weeks ago, but have not received it yet. I am SO excited about Merman being released finally on the No Boundaries CD, but what a strange mix of music. I don't listen to bands like Black Sabbath so this'll be a new experience. Kisses all, jen === "She's gone to the other side. Givin' us the yo heave ho. Things are getting kind of gross. Thanks Mark ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 14 May 1999 06:37:02 GMT From: "Wake UpNeo" Subject: famous blue raincoat (delurking) Famous Blue Raincoat is a song by Leonard Cohen. He is a French-Canadian poet, who tried to sell songs in the 60s and i think it was Joni Mitchell who told him (after he'd sung one to her to try and sell it) he should sing them himself. So he did. He has quite a following too (i recommend highly the cds The Best of Leonard Cohen, or, Songs from a Room). And there have been two tribute albums to him, where other artists record his songs. The first tribute album (i can't remember its name sorry even tho i have it ! but i can't find it) has a song by Tori. This is where you can find her version (except for boots). She sings Famous Blue Raincoat, a song by Cohen about a time spent living in New York City written as if a letter to a friend. Hope this helped. A cd search on the name Tori then click on compilations; or even on the name Leonard Cohen, might lead you to it. On cd.now or amazon.com. K.
