However, in the interest of time and carpal tunnel syndrome, here's a "short" list of things I would add to what you've got already: 1. Y Kant Tori Read - I think that the distance she has traveled musically to get from there to here is important. 2. Little Earthquakes - The music Tori wrote for this CD was rejected by the record company at least twice before she finally got the CD made. She was also transferred to Atlantic's London division, East West, before she completed the project. She has said that this move changed her life. 3. Boys for Pele - Tori produced this CD herself, which was a major accomplishment for a woman. She received some harsh criticism from the record company when she presented them with the result of her efforts, but the CD went on to sell over one million copies and be nominated for a grammy award. She makes some fabulous comments about this on the boot from the 11/11/96 show she did in Boulder, CO. I think I've said enough for now. I'm sure that you will get some wonderful ideas from the other toriphiles on this list (I know I don't know many of you well, but I love you all! you make email worth getting!!) Goodnight! I am pretty sure that she kisses Trent Reznor, but I'm not totally sure, so could someone let me know if that is indeed him or not, I know that they are friends. My 2nd quesion is about when she plays "caught a lite sneeze." Right before she plays that, she sings something that goes a little like "i hurt myself today to see if I could feel" I was wondering if anyone could tell me then name of that song she is singing. Somehow, Muhammad My Friend came to mind and the line about the Pope's rubber robe came to mind. I have an idea on what it means. In Catholicism, the Pope is essentially the right hand of God. (make your own masturbation joke here) Rubber stretches to fit a lot of things. So Tori is saying that we say that there is this leader who is chosed by God to carry a divine message to humanity. And we replace this person as soon as one dies. Like we can *decide* who we want to say is the holiest man alive. Thus, the papal title is rubber; it can fit whoever they chose to put in the slot. I don't know if I'm making sense or if I fell and bumped my head a few too many times. :) Hugs, Erin ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 09 Apr 1999 08:32:28 -0400 From: Jason Bilsky Subject: Re: Tori picture on Ebay authentic??
