I heard something about it the other day from a friend of mine, and I was wondering if it was really true. Also, is Tori planning to go on tour again this year or next. I have yet to see in concert and I would really love to go. Since I havn't seen her in concert, I have bought 4 live cds. There are also in pretty good condition. If any of you guys have a store near you called Soundhole, go there and check it out. They have many live imports of Tori plus other things such as a cd with all the Bee sides to Under the Pink. Most of the cds there are in pretty good condition. So if you see the store, go in and take a look around, I pormise you will be impressed. ~~Terry~ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 02 Apr 1999 20:14:23 PST From: "Shaigirl 19/f" Subject: Sessions @ West 54th I dunno how many if... any... people would be interested, but I thought I'd post this anyway. Today I received my copy of "Sessions @ West 54th" and since it didn't have any inserts, I decided to try and create my own for it. For just screwing around with my Photo House program, I think they came out great! I used two of my fav pics of Tori. Anyway, if anyone is interested in printing them out for their own cd, feel free! Goto http://glenmar.com/~mmb, scroll down on the top frame and click on Bootie Call. (No, silly, that's my Bootleg list!) Under the "Sessions" listings, click on the front & back inserts for the pictures! Let me know what'cha all think, for those who check it it! ~ Shaigirl Well I guess I could make it less complicated -> Front = http://glenmar.com/~mmb/images/tori-sessionsf.jpg Back = http://glenmar.com/~mmb/images/tori-sessionsb.jpg Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 3 Apr 1999 18:52:59 -0600 (CST) From: plugged99@webtv.net (Rob F.) Subject: Tori's hand gestures Hi everybody. Has anyone besides me noticed Tori's peculair hand gestures in her photos? I am referring to several photos from the choirgirl era like where we see her walking away holding the string - she's doing something. Or on the one that's on the cover of the plugged tour book (there's a poster of it too). One hand is making the same symbol in both photos - it's like two fingers up and the other three folded in her palm. And on the "Voodoo" cover it looks like she's doing some symbol with her hands as well. Any ideas? -Rob ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 03 Apr 1999 15:37:40 -0500 From: skh1 Subject: Re: Perfect Pitch? hi amy :) Amy Croft wrote: > .....Most people with this gift can name all of the pitches you play if > you just plunk your hand down randomly on the piano. i always called what you describe as sight-reading, not pitch. sight-reading being when you can sound any note without any aural prompting.. you just know what that note sounds like off the top of your head... pitch is your abiulity to hold onto that note, with or wihtout aural prompting... there are sepcific breathing techniques to help you keep your pitch... ami confused? it would make sense that tori does whatever this is, because she initially played by ear AND was also classically trained... but pitch and sight reading can both be cultivated over time anyway... hugs ~~kelley ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V4 #97 ************************************
