I called my parents' friends who own the Riverport Ampitheatre here in Saint Louis to see if they knew anything about Tori coming during the summer, and they said, in fact, that she was booked there for this summer. They couldn't tell me the exact date though. Hope this helps you guys out! =) Robyn ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Mar 1999 14:44:47 EST From: Cdfreke@aol.com Subject: the return of matt the merman:bootlegs, requests and Raliegh after a long break i have decided to return to the list i didn't unsubscribe i just needed a break but i did communicate with a few people anyway my life has been boring and uneventful basically i did get 2 new tori boots, dreaming ( wonderful ) and dew drop inn boulder ( also wonderful ) now i need to ask somethings first: does anyone, anyone at all, have the following singles: Silent All These Years ( not reissue), China, Cornflake Girl( UK special edition) or Crucify ( UK ) i NEED these i will pay almost any reasonable offer as long as the CD isn't damaged and the insert isn't ruined second: my goal ( toriwise) is to get every one of tori's songs on cd both live and studio(rare concert only tracks don't count) so i need help finding as many of the songs i don't have on as few cds as possible what i need : girl, wrong band, space dog, blood roses, mr. zebra, muhummad, way down, little amasterdam, not the red baron, agent orange, doughnut song, voodoo, putting the damage on, twinkle, all from choir girl, most of the b-sides, so if anyone has suggestions e-mail me third: if anyone knows what tori says on the ddi boulder cds e-mail me and finally if someone has the oct 19 ( i think ) raliegh show and would be willing to make me a copy e-mail me ok toodles matt the merman ( that felt good ) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Mar 1999 04:38:33 -0500 (EST) From: Richard Handal Subject: Keeping tour secrets for no reason Hi, All: You know, I just have to say that if a tour really is in the works, that all the secrecy about it is nothing more than a load of bullshit. Would it hurt anyone for Atlantic or Tori's management to say something along the lines of, "Yes, here's the approximate start date of a tour that's expected to last such-and-such length of time, and she'll be touring in so-and-so size venues with a specified configuration band or solo"? Is the veil of secrecy REALLY supposed to sell even one more ticket than were the whole thing to be kept quiet (not counting all the inevitable leaks) for another three months? No one who doesn't plan to go to the shows is going to discuss it more and then decide to go because of its being kept quiet longer. The level of anticipation would be its *own* creator of buzz. People either want to go to the shows or they don't. The idea that somehow an announcement not being made until three months after contracts are signed is helpful for anyone is a pile of garbage. Frankly, one of the main regrets I'd have about there being another tour scheduled is all the chatter about in on the lists. If she's gonna tour, folks will find out within hours of one another when the tickets in their hometowns are going on sale. There's no need to have endless discussion about it. I'm really not ready to go through all this again so soon. I wish I could hibernate without unsubbing to the lists. :-/ Just had to vent.
