I believe Tori played Mother between 8 and 10 times on the Plugged Tour; I lost count after a while because she was back east and all towards the end. Since "Mother" is one of my absolute favorite songs of hers, I felt very blessed to be able to hear it twice, once during the preview tour, and once either at Sacramento or San Jose (I forget now, and am too tired to go look it up). Considering its personal meaning to me, I felt very lucky to have heard it once, let alone twice. :) Beth - -- "You change, but the doll I made of you lives on, a white body leaning in a sunlit window, the features wearing away with time, frozen in the gaunt pose of a single day, holding in its plaster hand your doll of me." This email is in like three parts.. Sorry for the confusion.. I didn't check my mail for awhile and then when I did there was so much I wanted to respond to, but I didn't want to waste everybody's time making them read three separate emails... Anyway.... The lines from Father Lucifer... >Nothing's gonna stop me from floating. >Nothing's gonna stop me from floating. I must apologize if this part has already been discussed and I missed it, but I thought these lines had to do with witches.. Isn't it true that during the Salem witch hunts they tested to see if you were a witch by placing you in water and if you floated you were a witch and if you sank you weren't? Or something like that..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Also I don't know if this is allowed and I hope Diana doesn't mind, but her interpretation of Black Dove was so good that I think everyone should read it.. I already told her personally how wonderful I thought it was.. I saved it from last May... Anyway, enjoy or not. :) <> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ One last thing about the mixes.. Personally I usually hate remixed Tori songs, but one that I do love is the one by Rabbit in the Moon of Precious Things.... My techno/raver friends think of Rabbit in the Moon as techno gods and I think they made "Precious Things" into such an awesome dance song... If you haven't heard it you should listen to it.... And if you have heard it.... I can never understand the extra lyrics that were added... Does she say : "Will you leave me?" "Will we fly away?" or what is she saying? I just am not sure... May the faeries be with everyone :-) *Cindy* ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V4 #70 ************************************
