I've never posted anything on this list before, but I've been on it for quite a while. Anyways, I got two questions: 1. I've heard stuff about Niel Gaiman and know that he and Tori are friends and all that. I know I heard stuff about Neverwhere but I can't remember what. I saw it in the bookstore the other day, bought it and am reading it right now. Other than the fact that it's a good book, is there another reason I remember people saying people should read it? 2. Okay, I'm not really stupid, but I have no idea if t-shirts have much value or not. I found a long-sleeved Tori t-shirt in a thrift shop recently and bought it for, like, $2. It's a little too small for me to wear, but I got it anyway cause it's tori. It's the one where on the front is her laying down on her side, almost in the fetal position, like on the inside of the UtP booklet and on the back it's the rest of the picture with the bones and glass things and feathers and a wing and a blue butterfly in the middle and it says tori amos on the bottom. Sorry, that's not a very good description. It's in pretty good shape as far as I can tell - no stains or holes. So, does this possibly have any value? It's not like I was ripped off or anything if it doesn't. Jeremy ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 15 Feb 1999 23:51:45 -0500 From: Beth Coulter Subject: Re: Tori on Storytellers That was the "Crossroads" program, that devoted a full half hour to Tori. she sang "Suger", "I'm on Fire", "Over the Rainbow" and something else (i think). This was done the same month as MTV's "Unplugged" (incidentally where the "Plugged Tour" name came from; she ad libbed "shouldn't I be doing 'Plugged'?"). Crossroads was my fav VH1 show for the newest videos but was canceled (like my other favs 'Sunday Brunch' and 'Four on the Floor'). She has Never done Storytellers before. I think I do, something to do with the Velvets, because in the liner notes she thanks "Neil & the Velvets, which I believe is in the song Hotel. Anyone care to offer a little insight? The Neil thing has always been a favourite of mine, due to the fact that I used to use it against a boy named Neil that I was quite smitten with. It was just yummy, but that didn't work out, anyways, so where's Neil when you need him, right? In the meantime, remember, there's lots of wonderful Tori traders out there. I have a wonderful collection, and yeah, it wasn't free (blank CD's, postage, etc) but it was a still a hell of a deal. My favorite trading site is http://members.aol.com/Cruel2000/index.html You can even access traders that have CD-r capability!
