She JUST ended her tour and she said they are going into the studio in February! She won't be expected to tour with the box set because not much of it will be first time releases. She has also stated that she needs to take time off to write and compose. That doesn't mean she's disappearing or anything. Even if she does have a kid. She has a strong enough following that she could release a new album and NOT tour with it. I think it's very realistic to see her having a kid with Mark and recording at the same time. So PLEASE don't flame me for this, b/c it is not meant to contradict anyway, but I just wanted to add a few words. I don't really think that Tori would find anything wrong with a strip club playing her music. We all know that she is not righteous about sexuality, and I don't think that strip clubs would necessarily be regarded as morally wrong by her. It's just a different way of expressing sexuality, and if you don't like it, so be it, don't go. However, I don't see what the big fuss is about that. Also about the stuff on eBay...I certainly wouldn't boycott a photo because it's described as HOT or SEXY or almost exposed. It may make the seller less of a respectable person in your eyes, but you know...what can you do? I wouldn't worry about what this seller is doing so much unless it really bothers you all that much. Well, a few people asked me about wanting a copy. I realy wish I could do that, but the book was over 60 pages long and I used up alot of money by going through 3 ink cartriges (spelling!). So what I did was put the book onto floppy disk. It contains ALL the pages except for the cover and back cover. I am willing to make copies for people. BUT since money is an issue here, I am going to offer the book on floppy for 5 dollars. This is so I can send the floppy in a case for you, and so I can buy the floppy and so I can send the floppy. All you do is put the floppy in the computer, and open it under AOL 4.0 I don't think this will work with anything else. I am sorry for those of you who have a different program, but I will do my best to correct this and make it possible so everyone can have a copy (everyone who wishes too). I really am not looking for people to email me asking if they made it in or not and if they entered in it or not. If you emailed me with a thing for tori, I put it in. If you entered a Tori book from August to November than you entered most likely mine. I really think this is a cool thing to have cause...it is stories about us! Her EWF! There are great pictures of drawings, meet and greets and everything! I really love the poetry also. So if you are intrested...please email me saying so! I was just reading the lyrics to Merman on a website and they listed them in one part as being "He's a merman, he doesn't need your voice." (I think that's right, don't shoot me if it's not!) I posted recently about SATY and the Little Mermaid, and selling your "voice" to become something you're not. (Kind of like Gail Wynand in the Fountainhead, perhaps?) Could Merman maybe be a sequel to SATY? Like that before, she was watching the years go by waiting for somebody else to understand, and was sacrificing her mind so that they would. But now there's somebody that's just like her, and she doesn't have to pretend anymore. That's the yummiest part of love. :) Any other ideas on this? Hugs, Erin ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 30 Jan 1999 20:13:18 EST From: Bobdel123@aol.com Subject: album covers and then some the idea of tori not having another album never hit me until just recently. teh fact that she has gone to the darkest shad of album cover could be a possiblity, but for me it was the refrence to little earthquakes on choirgirl. to my knowledge tori has never refrenced anything to little earthquakes before choirgirl. by this i mean on the album itself. the refrence i am speaking of is in northern lad. she used the word rain... "when your only wet because of the rain..." well in precious things she also uses rain... "running after billy, running after the rain..." the connection to them is the fact that in my own interpreation they both have a sexual meaning. in northern lad she is desenchanted by sexual feelings from this one guy and in precious things she is chasing after the sexual feelings of this one guy. to me she is bringing to a close. also precious things IS tori's theme song i don't care about silent all these years. precious things is the only one to go under complete revamping each tour. at any rate this being he rtheme song and there being a closing to it scares me. tori is the kind of person who will just close the book and go on and thats it. so she has closed the book on little earthquakes (the begining). what does this leave us? another reason for thinking this would eb the printing of coirgirl. anyone else notice the fact that she reused ALL of the different forms of type from the previous albums. ex: black-dove (january) has capitolized words... "but i have to get to TEXAS..." jackie's strength and hotel are in boxes and made to fit both sides of the box, this being a refrence to under the pink's style. northern lad and iieee are in perfect line for line break form like boys for pele... "had a northern lad well not exactly had..." those are the most dominant signs but there could be a few hidden in the depth of choirgirl. ex: all the stylings (musically) from the previous albums are represented. and could the map be more than just he rthoughts on how she got to the hotel or how her music found its way through the woods to the hotel? like she said in the little earthquakes songbook... "the bridge that leads straight back like a loop to the same toll booth where you threw in some change to go around only to end up surrounded by the place you left." what that has to do with the situation i am not quite sure but it fits in a way. look at the map in choirgirl. there is a bridge, an abbye, a tower, and a toodles pass. so is this toodles for us? all love in tori the raspberry swirl boy remember bells for her is past the mission and on the the thirteenth floor of the choirgirl hotel. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 30 Jan 1999 23:52:43 -0300 From: lauraguay Subject: My Tori Dream. PT 6. Nov.13 Poughkeepsie After a *very* long drive we got to Poughkeepsie. The show had been sold out for several months so I was kind of nervous about it. But we got tickets, we were told they were right beside the sound "thing". While we were waitin outside the venue, a man approached Linda and Jeremy and offered them tickets. He had 3rd row center!!!! so needless to say they bought those tickets. After hanging out with the guys from previous concerts, we went in to take our seats. As they said, we were *right* by the sound board.. and this time there weren't barricades around it or anything.. so we were at Mark's side. A couple minutes before Tori came out, Linda came from her 3rd row seat and told me that she was talking to some people about the empty seat right behind her.. and they said that it was *empty*. So I upgraded my seat to a 4th row center!! and the piano was pretty close to the stage so it was *amazing*. I ended up siting next to a girl that had lived in Argentina, so for the first time in days I was "speaking at normal speed" (as Linda described it :-) ) in Spanish!! whoa! it was so weird meeting someone that had been to my country and that liked Tori... I should say that I only know 2 Uruguayan EWF in person and I've heard that there are 2 more here in Montevideo... so it *is* surprising for me. As hard as I try I can't remember her name :( We will get together when Tori tours South America... hehe... not many chances that she'll do that, as for what I've heard but still... This concert was amazing too.. more energy going on than on the previous one. AND she played Space Dog!!!! It was really cute when she forgot the lyrics to "Happy Phantom" and sung "..and do we soon forget the songs we do not sing?" . Before "Father Lucifer" she told the story of how her father thought she was calling *him* satan on the song. She said "it is not about *you* dad"... and she explained that she came up with the song while on a "trip" with a SOUTH AMERICAN shaman :-) Linda thought she said this for me.. but I don't think so. Anyhow the story was very funny and she said that "and you know dad he is not such a bad guy" or something like that. I really enjoyed this show. It was just awesome. The M&G was packed so we just watched from the other side of the street. Jeremy was invited backstage so we were all really excited :-) We had a day off after Poughkeepsie and Jeremy needed to go to NY to get his flight back to L.A. so we went there the following morning.                \\|//                (O-O) - ----------oOO--(_)--OOo------------------------------------------------- ldamico@adinet.com.uy (at home) laura@redfacil.com.uy (at work) http://www.geocities.com/hollywood/lot/3373/index.html ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V4 #30 ************************************
