I just saw the Creek's promo ad for the Tori show, which I'd been waiting for. It was a big surprise because usually they're pretty damn short, but this one was substantial, and just gorgeous! They made a big deal about it being intitmate and how powerful Tori is. Really cool stuff that really captured the essence of her. My question was is this packaged by the label, or is it up to the venue to do it? I mean, it was splices from her videos, and gorgeous upclose shots of her from God with the candle, and I'd be really impressed if the Creek did it independently. So did anyone happen to see a similar promo? Just curious. Maybe it didn't come out exactly the way she wanted it too. I think what the girl might have meant was Tori's albums should be slightly different and evolve. And Tori would probably agree with her on that. Tori didn't want all her albums to be diary-like LE. November 23rd, 1998. Tickets $28.50 plus $1.50 handling fee. On Sale Oct. 2, 1998. Box Office and TicketBasterd location. Hey Guys! I have to tell you about Tori being in "my backyard" as someone put it. Tori is playing at the Stabler Arena in Bethlehem. The tickets go on sale this friday and there is like no information going around about it (the concert) at all. No one in this area has ANY idea that Tori is playing except for us few who are on the net. Other SE Pennsylvanians will agree that the hardcore Toriphile population is close to nil. So the box office is 15 minutes from my house, I figure I'll drive up leisurely up the wooded road to the Lehigh U. Stabler Box office around 8:30 am and get some decents seats for once! (I'm going with a friend to the baltimore concert in section 2, row M and those are the best seats I've ever had.) I want the first three rows (if not the front!) Center! Especially since I can't go to the State College concert where I was hoping for a friend to get some nice seats (long story why). So all of this great stuff is happening and I'm feeling happy about at least Tori is coming super close to me. Everything else in my life is absolute shit at the moment, but Tori is coming to Bethlehem, a town where I go 6 times a year for music events anyway. So today I'm finally looking through their web pages and I found the following. >From http://www.stablerarena.com/about.htm > >Without a question, Stabler Arena's highest acclaim comes from the concert scene. With superb acoustics, and superior rigging capabilities for a 6,000 seat arena, Stabler has become the preeminent mid-sized concert venue in the northeast. Popular with acts and agencies, Stabler has been nominated by the readers of Performance Magazine eight times for "Arena of the Year" status. Stabler Arena won that prestigious award in 1988. Some acts that have graced the stage are: Grateful Dead, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, and Fleetwood Mac. > Some artists think Stabler works so well, they come here to rehearse. Bette Midler, the Moody Blues and the Cranberries are just a few who kicked off their national tours here. > At times Stabler serves as a film studio. Whitney Houston shot her "So Emotional" video here, and Bon Jovi turned a New Year's Eve concert into a video shoot for his "Bed of Roses" track. > Today, as a University facility, students want to see newer music like Bush, Stone Temple Pilots, Phish, Live, Blues Traveler, Rusted Root, and Matchbox 20. > Here's what you won't find at Stabler. No cushy, corporate suites for the fat cats. No microbrewery. No cigar bar with paid admission. No valet parking. And no distracting Jumbotron hanging from the ceiling. > However, you will find a courteous and knowledgeable staff all wanting you to have a good time in a clean and safe environment. A place where friends can relax and enjoy what you paid to see, the show on stage. The intimate layout of Stabler Arena's 6,000 seats provides a concert experience unequal to most all our competitors. You just may think you're on stage yourself. Wow. Just, Wow. Tori Here. Wow. Just. WOW. I think I will be in sensory overload on November 23. Wow. Folkes!!! There is a 10 ticket limit!!! No fooling!!! I can't handle tons of e-mails to get tickets. I suggest anyone who can, take the morning and drive to Bethlehem yourself. You don't have to be there at an outragous hour. It's not going to be ticket craziness. That is if EVERYBODY SHUTS UP AND DOESN'T TELL THE RADIO STATIONS AND/OR ALL OF THEIR FRIENDS!!! (sorry for yelling, I just hate it when the dj announces something only the internet Knows and they say they got it off ToriNews or some fan told them they saw it on the internet.) So hush hush until after we have our tickets on Friday. And to think I was disappointed about missing the 16,500 in the State College Show, 3 hours away. Back to tickets, I believe I have 4-5 promised. Since this is going out to lists with large numbers of lurkers etc, I'm going to sound absolutely awful now (honesty can sometimes not be pretty); If I have never, ever heard from you, please don't write asking for tickets. If you have ever written me, even just once, write me and and tell me why you should see Tori in this venue, what it is this experience will do for you life? I will buy 5 tickets. I'll decide Thursday Night and tell folks who I got tickets for Friday after I get them. For everyone else, Hey, even ticketbasterd can't give you *bad seats*, right??? Get Writing Guys!!!
