Here's the story. When BfP first came out, it had the original Talula on it (800,000 copies pressed). Tori pulled the original Talula and replaced it with the Tornado remix by BT. However, the back cover and the insert and the disc still showed it as the original Talula. Later, that error was corrected. So, here's the final rundown of all the different BfP pressings in the US: 1) The one we all bought the very day it went on sale. Original Talula, correct back cover. 2) Replace the original Talula with the tornado remix, but the back of the CD and everything else indicate it's the original. 3) Tornado remix, and the back of the CD and insert have been updated so you know you're getting the Tornado mix. There was a single report of: 4) Original Talula, but the back says it's the Tornado mix. However, with only one report of this, I don't know if it's legit or not. I don't recall off the top of my head what the UK BfPs looked like. I don't remember if there was the single pressing of the original BfP with the original Talula, and then another pressing with the tornado mix. There is a BfP released in the UK which -adds- another remix of Professional Widow {IIRC, it's Armand's Star Truckin' Luckin' Buckin' Huckin' whatever remix} (so yes, there are two PWs on the disc) and completely removes Voodoo. I don't imagine that -any- of these releases is ever going to be worth more than your average used CD. There were a whole slew of the original US BfP pressed and released, so they're not rare. Given the huge number of people who've reported the wrong-back-liner Talula thing, that's not rare [1]. The new BfP with the Tornado mix (and correct cover/liner) is what Atlantic will press for all subsequent pressings, so that -definitely- isn't rare. The UK BfP with the PW remix also isn't terribly rare, although it'll probably cost around US$25-$30 just because CDs in the UK are expensive and you have to pay to ship it here. /nad {and this, folks, is why I'm a professional student: I can spew off mostly useless stuff like this in many subjects ;) } [1] And even if it -were- rare, someone would actually have to care enough to pay anything beyond $10 for it. This kind of thing would only appeal to the absolute -true- completist, and even he might pass it over in favor of saving up to buy a second copy of PT promo or something. It doesn't have a song unavailable elsewhere, it doesn't have anything remarkable about the artwork; it's just (slightly) incorrect on the back of the CD. ------------------------------ End of precious-things-digest V3 #329 *************************************
