So ToriBoi was corect. ok, just to make myself clear here, I wasn't saying Winter is wrong. If you please look, I marked "crucify". I was referring to the "EP" story. The person who posted said it was off the "winter" ep, even tho officially (according to the record co. etc) Crucify was the only "ep" out there from the LE era. I'm fully aware of the ltd edition single, but if you list something coming off a Winter EP and not "ltd. ed. single" ALOT of people might think you're referring to the US Winter single, and run off to buy the wrong single. My advice to people who want to purchase b-sides, is to go to one of the many Tori discographies, and check carefully. Some b-sides appear on various releases. Also make sure you're not buying the live version of the b-side. Songs like Here in Your Head (live) appear quite frequently. sabrina ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 13 Jun 1998 23:45:47 -0800 From: Darren Linder Subject: Re: Tori Amos...On Letterman Again? Luckily this is a poster that i already have, so im not too > upset about it, so beware when you do recieve it! Put a folded sheet on a hard floor (linoleum or hard wood, uncarpeted). Place the poster on the sheet face down. Plug in an iron and let it warm to a low heat. Using a plant mister, spritz a very, very small mist of water on the back side. Then, very, very, very carefully iron out the wrinkles in the poster. Use your free hand to hold it in place to keep it from sliding on the sheet and possibly scratching the front. If the poster is deeply creased the line will still show but, at least, it will lie flat. If it's not wrinkled too deeply this may remove almost all traces. Wad up a piece of notebook paper first and experiment. Hope this saves some tempers as well as some posters. :-) In Tori, Charlie - -- Tori Amos tour info at: http://php.indiana.edu/~cpoole/toritour.html +-------------------+-----------------+--------------------------+ | C.W. Please check it out, and if you're interested, you can email me at Jaydenne@hotmail.com or here at geministar@webtv.net . . . thanks! I'll have to check them out against the song later. :-) > anyone else think all those "mms" and "yadadada's" are her forgetting > the words and that's why she says "sorry" at the end?? I think the song was never finished, and those things are just syllables to keep the flow of the song going; as with John Lennon's home recording of Free As A Bird, in which he was doing the same thing. A common songwriter practice. When Paul McCartney was working on Yesterday, he inserted "Scrambled Eggs" just to keep the right number of syllables. As to the "sorry" at the end, I have no strong thoughts, although the entire song cracks me up, and has the flavor of what can happen in a practice session that's been going on for too long already. Been part of many of those, myself. It can get a bit silly. :-} (I mean, come on--a TANGO?) Just another question about the Spark lyrics, most of it makes sense to me now (thanks to you!), except for "she's addicted to nicotine patches". I thought maybe it refers how some people use cigarettes to calm their nerves, but that's kind of silly since Tori was never a smoker, was she? What do you think it means?
