ARGHHH, i need to get out more often! Anyway, it is the first song that mentions Jackie O. that i can think of and trying to decipher the lyrics is a pain in the butt! If this is not an old string i would really like to get a discussion going on this song's meaning or at least get the lyrics. All i can say is that if these four preview songs are anything like the rest of the album it will be her best IMHO! I just cant wait!!!! cheers all- Yanos ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 30 Apr 1998 18:39:05 -0400 From: Nadyne Mielke Subject: Re: tape covers [removed ToriNews from the reply, 'cause this isn't news] At 03:32 PM 4/30/98 EDT, Rain tori wrote: >Does anyone know what program on teh computer makes tape covers for bootlegs? Any word processor will do the job for you, actually. I use Word97, and change the margins so that the printable area is the same as what's available on the tape case. If you want exact measurements, drop me a line and I'll dig them up for you. Some folks have reported using MS Publisher with great success, if you want to get down'n'dirty with graphics and other sorts of things. There's a program called WinTaper that many people in alt.music.bootlegs swear by. I don't know a URL for it offhand, but plugging "WinTaper" into your favorite Internet search engine should come up with it. /nad ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 30 Apr 1998 18:26:35 -0400 (EDT) From: Ellen Morris Subject: Re: ice cream oonnection > in spark, t says "trusting my soul to the ice cream assasin" > and way back on LE, she says "i don't believe yer leavin cause me and > charles manson like the same ice cream" in TIYH.... ?! > charles manson certainly can be considered an assasin... > but i don't think that's who she means ... > any thoughts?! > > ;) love in tori, > chris yes , chris, good interesting point. but i was wondering if it had anything to do with the interview, atilla the hone. i think you are closer but in the interview they ask her, what she expects the afterlife to be like and she responds," a lot like here, its not like i am going to have an ice cream sundae with jesus or anything..." of course , both our thoughts could be way off...does anyone else have anything else to add.... - -ellen ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 30 Apr 1998 16:05:14 -0800 From: "Nick J. The rule was that you called in for the tickets and then the station had to be able to reach your 'significant other' at work to confirm you won. I didn't hear what they meant by 'significant other', but I thought it would be a little dumb if they only gave them to married couples. Congratulations to whoever got them. Danica is actually *at* the Park West show (recording it, hopefully). If that's the case, I'm sure she'll do her best to get what songs she can up. In any case, she won't be answering e-mail until the weekend. If the damn RBN site would let me in, I would have started recording from the RA. However, it won't. I'm assuming it'll be available in the archives either tomorrow or next week. Once that happens, we'll work towards getting recordings available. Everyone just relax. We're recording as much as we can and trying to get it all available. Obviously, if you have a recording (in any format), that you'd like to see, either mail myself or Danica and we'll see what we can do. Well, the list on TORI.COM listed all of the local radio stations that would be broadcasting the show. It listed 106.3, the NJ station, yet they didn't play it. I tried calling all night, but their phone was busy, until just now. The radio disc jockey said that he had no idea, and that people from the Internet had been calling all night. This sucks!
